A private oasis in the Alentejo

The whole environment of the property is amazing! Calm, relax, quiet.... Alexandra and Tiago (and Salvador) are really nice, and they made us feel at home. The house is fully equipped and extremely comfortable. The shower and bed are great.

Local onde está inserido o alojamento. Paisagem tipicamente alentejana. Tranquilidade máxima, repleto de natureza. A simpatia dos anfitriões superou qualquer expetativa! Fomos tratados com muito carinho e não faltou nada. A casa está completamente equipada com tudo o que necessitamos para umas férias 5 estrelas. Casa extremamente limpa. Adorei o espaço exterior onde desfrutamos o nosso pequeno almoço e ao final da tarde uns aperitivos!!! Esperamos sinceramente voltar ! Obrigada! Ps : já me ia esquecendo dos cães !! Protetores e meigos!

Lugar envolto na tranquilidade da natureza. A paisagem alentejana no seu melhor. Acordar com o som dos pássaros é uma experiência incrível. A casa, típica do Alentejo, é acolhedora.

Where to start, casa rural is just fabulous, from all the excellent communication before arrival to the moment you enter this idyllic oasis of calm. After an excellent welcome from this beautiful family (animals included😀), you enter into the fabulous cute cottage, which has everything and more that you need whether just using as a base or creating beautiful food using all the local produce from this area as we did, something else to note is that the cottage stays really cool even on the hottest days. If you like nature you will love this place, the views, the animals, the plantlife the walks etc... We stayed for 11 nights and we think the best part of our holiday was arriving as guests and leaving as friends 🧡......... We've travelled around the world, and this is one of only two places now that we have genuinely been very upset to leave...........xx

Nothing not to like!......loved it all

The beautiful location is as described, quiet and peaceful on a large estate with no neighbours nearby. Big trees provide a shaded space and oasis before the house and cottage, which is spacious with a large separate bedroom and living area. There is an outdoor shower “not heated “ but nevertheless very nice during hot days. Everything is very clean and tasteful decorated. As there is no AC it would be nice to have shutters on the windows of the backside to avoid the morning sun, especially in summer. The first evening there was a problem with the electric and the fuses but the owners were quick to respond to it.

During the first night, the two very friendly big dogs, who walk freely around the estate were relatively quiet. The second night they started barking at 4 till 6 AM, just outside our cottage. The third night they barked from 1.30 till 4 AM and from around 5 AM till sunrise , again at our cottage. We did realise, as the advertising says literally, that the dogs, being freely outside, could bark a bit during the night. But not that they would keep us from sleeping , as none of the other guests ever mentioned this before. So after the 3 night we spoke to the owners about it. They told us we were the first to complain and even suggested we were high sensitive… they did realise however that the barking can be heavy sometimes, because they told us they went out some nights to tell the dogs to shut up. Nevertheless , the following night,they put the dogs in a secluded meadow of about an acre at the entrance 400m from the house . After that, it was very quiet at night and we slept very well the next 4 nights. We were very grateful with this solution and thanked the owners for it the very next morning. However, our remarks were not at all appreciated and the owners were very unpleased about it. We even had the impression they avoided us and didn’t want any further contact with us from that moment. Really pity, we have been travelling for more than 20 years and visited a lot of continents and countries, talked and met so many different people and cultures, but we never had the idea of being “weird “ for being honest. But anyway, if you don’t mind sharing your nights with barking dogs ( more than just now and then),this quiet and peaceful place ( during the day) is an excellent spot to enjoy, explore and relax in amazing Alentjo.

La casa è accogliente con tutti i confort necessari per vivere come a casa: una cucina fornita di tutto e i proprietari offrono anche beni di prima necessità. Letti comodi e ambiente molto tranquillo, abbiamo dormito e riposato benissimo. C'è un patio per stare all'esterno pulito e ottimo per stare nei momenti più caldi della stagione. I proprietari sono cortesi e ben disponibili a soddisfare ogni tua esigenza. Super consigliato!!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'acceuil chaleureux de Alexandra & Tiago ainsi que la beauté du lieu & le luxe de leur maison d'hôte. Aussi leur gentillesse & générosité envers nous, Tiago nous a fourni tout le bois nécessaire pour qu'on puisse faire du feu dans un poêle a bois très performant , indispensable pendant notre séjour au mois de février. Très belle salle d'eau & une cuisine bien équipée à coté d'un séjour grand & spacieux & bien décoré . La chambre à coucher est aussi très jolie , le lit est grand avec un très bon matelas. On aussi aimé les promenades sur leur propriété accompagnés de leurs chiens.
