Mombasa Comfort House, Old Town

Very kind hostess, who patiently waited for us after midnight, and the next day allowed us to leave our things after check-out, helped with buying train tickets and other advice. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, except for air conditioning. Overall, I highly recommend it.

The location was perfect for us to be able to access public transport and move around.

The best location. You can walk in old town everywhere. Fort Jesus, Forodhani restaurant, Jahazi coffe, etc. And the Fatima is so kind! She cares about us time to time. It was so thoughtful. Thank you so much. The house is big enough and very comfortable.

Fatma was a great host who made us very welcome and was very helpful during our short stay, offering us a guided tour of the old town free of charge and in organising a taxi to the SGR for us. The location of the flat was superb, right in the center of the old town. Ideal for our short stay, I would definitely recommend for anyone wishing to visit Mombasa for a few days!

The only detail to be noted is the slightly noisy environment but it did not disturb us significantly and its part of the beauty of staying in the old town!

Lovely host, who really goes out of her way to make things easy for you. If you are happy with the location, in the old town, and are keen on self catering, this is an excellent choice.

What an amazing place in the heart of the Old Town!! You are surrounded by history, just a few minutes walk to Fort Jeusu. But the best of all is the owner, Fatima. She is a delight! This corner of Mombasa must be explored - and needs to find to same love and investment that so many places like it in the world have found. Enjoy the huge space to relax and unwind, then mix into the city with confidence.

For such an enormous space, the bathroom is so small it’s a bit funny - but if you’re spending that much time in the shower then why are you on vacation? 🙄

Fatma welcomed us at the door and showed us around. The place is very clean, spacious and has everything you need. Most importantly it's in an ideal location to see the historic sights. Fatma gave us some great tips and checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Thank you Fatma
