Floating Hotel- Happy Nile Boat

I was bit nervous before arriving because they had only 6 reviews that time. But I risked it as I was intrigued by the opportunity to stay on the boat. The arrival was strange and I didn’t understand what’s happening. But then I got it. This is not only accommodation. They are there to take care of you. Some guys are around 24/7 and help you with anything you might need. I found very entertaining short boat ride to the main boat (I came in time they couldn’t use the bridge as the water in Nile was low). My room/cabin faced the river so Inhad wonderful sunrise every morning. They showed me restaurants around took me to swim near by. I was there just 2 days but I think I will remember it for very long time. It made my visit of Luxor special.

Ahmed (the host) is an amazing guy who really cares about his customers. Him and his family shows you around and helps you with everything. The boat is in a peaceful part and really close to the local ferry so you can be in the city really quick. The rooms are comfortable and nice.

The owners are really caring and they make sure you will feel good. Unfortunately the room in a boat was not available, because previous guests did some damage, but they offered a whole apartment nearby, that was even better option because it was in a silent courtyard.. they offered me one free night the next day on a boat, but I had to leave sooner .. they arranged a good breakfast on the boat and offered me a very good price to cime to Karnak... My recommendations!

We really enjoyed staying in the Happy Nile Boat hotel, as it was a unique experience of spending a night on a boat. The room is clean, has windows (but you can close them if you want) with the view on Nile and the other coast of the river, shower with hot water. The boat itself has a nice interesting style. The owner of the place, Ahmed is very friendly and helpful. He allowed us to check in earlier and check out later. Also, he proposed a tour to the sites on the West Bank (that we enjoyed so much!) and a boat tour to Karnak temple (we decided not to go, but I believe it is also very good) with cheap price. The boat hotel is located just few minutes walking from the public ferry station (after you arrive to the West Bank on the public ferry, just turn left and walk a little bit, you will see the “Happy Nile Boat” poster on it). Highly recommend this place!
