The Old Vicarage Shepherd's Hut

Amazing little bolt hole for a relaxing break from work. So peaceful and quiet, with an abundance of wildlife. Small but perfectly formed accommodation, ideal for exploring the area.

It was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful It had all the amenities you need and if you needed anything it was a phone call away! Will definitely be back 😁

Nothing - it’s a little gem

Super cute shepherds hut in an idyllic location. If you follow satnav, the drive there can be a challenge best to contact the host for the best way to get there but absolutely stunning renovation. Obviously there isnt much storage room, its a shepherds hut! So you may need to travel light but its stunning it really is.

The property was extremely clean and well equipped with lovely well kept surrounding grounds. The bed was so comfortable. Decent sized TV with integrated dvd player. Nice comfy outdoor seating with a chiminea. Lovely dogs come visiting regularly but you're not allowed to give treats!

Bad tv reception so take dvd's. Three high steps into hut so may struggle a bit if you have mobility issues. The electric heater in the cupboard didn't work which would be an issue in colder weather if you didn't want to mess about with the log burner.

Totally excellent as always

We had a wonderful two night visit. It was a great place to stay when we went to see Paul Heaton at Westonbirt Arboretum. The shepherd's hut was beautiful, so well equipped and with a very comfortable bed. I slept the best that I have in months! The shepherd's hut is located in the property's lovely garden but offers a good degree of seclusion and privacy. An added bonus was that Molly the golden retriever regularly wandered over to see us. I think she was on the look out for a treat but it was lovely to see her and she was very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this fab shepherd's hut!

We had made a booking at The Butcher's Arms in the village but when we went there the pub was shut down! We hadn't received any notice of cancellation of our booking. However, there are plenty of other nice looking places to eat in the area. We ended up going to an Indian restaurant called Ali's Kitchen in Brimscombe, Stroud where the food and service was excellent!

Quiet and cosy

Lovely location. Left alone by owner. Perfectly designed hut. Didnt feel cramled. I felt like I had all the amenities I required. Nice log fire (unlimited wood)!

Unable to use TV due to poor Internet speed. Fan Heater didn't work (can be very cold at night).

The Shepherd’s Hut is a little gem, tucked away in a beautiful village and perfect for a weekend getaway. The hut was very clean on arrival and is well equipped with everything you would need for a short stay. It’s private, very sweet and cosy. The hosts are lovely and were very helpful. We loved the location - the surroundings are absolutely stunning and the local pub was very welcoming.
