GBI went into town for my breakfast. The location is a beautiful and relaxing one; the accommodation is generous and comfortable; the owners are lovely! For me, what I liked most was the kindness of the owners: Sarah went into town to give me a lift to the cottage annexe; then, she even offered to take me back in again later! (She's done that kind of thing with previous guests, too.) Whatever was in their power to provide was given in abundance.
Although nothing within the control of the owners could have been better, for someone who does not have a car, the issues might be: 1) The distance of the property to the town centre. (But the journey is certainly achievable on foot if, as I am, you're reasonably fit.) 2)The lack of a taxi service in Oundel. (You have to use one based in Peterborough, which is expensive.) 3) The varying quality of the mobile phone signal.
AUThe coziness and also the light in the rooms was so welcoming. I hadn't expected there to be a lovely layout of the kitchen and living areas, which was a huge bonus for me. The hosts were helpful and welcoming. A really charming spot!
GBGBAll communication with Sarah and David prior to our visit was efficient and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very well looked after before, during and after our stay. The property was lovely with additional touches to make everything as comfortable as possible. The property was quiet and in a great location just outside Oundle. We will definitely be staying again!

GBLoved the dog free status of the property - a must for us. Perfect location for our needs. Ample free parking. Spacious kitchen with dishwasher and coffee grinder. Light and airy. Nice garden view to rear. Welcoming host. Appreciated the slippers. Basic supplies provided. Nice big bath towels and robes provided.
Feather duvet and pillows - we forgot to request synthetic so not the fault of the host Would have liked a teapot as I normally make tea in a teapot, even with teabags
