Casa do Arco by Douro Exclusive

This is one of the easiest five star reviews I’ve ever mad. The property is incredible, and the hospitality is amazing. The staff was so helpful and friendly! And the view from the hotel is maybe the best in the Douro. I will definitely stay here when I return to the Douro someday!

I had an absolutely amazing time at Casa do Arco. From the moment my mother and I arrived, we were greeted with a warm and hospitable welcome that made us feel right at home. As other reviews mentioned, you need to experience the dinner. The owner went above and beyond to craft a personalized experience that was nothing short of exceptional. The food was simply divine, and the presentation was equally remarkable. A fun point during the dinner was being able to chat with the other guests. It felt genuine and refreshing to connect with people from around the world and share that moment together. As for the suite, it was everything we could have wanted and more - luxurious, tasteful, and carefully designed with attention to every detail. One of my favorite memories from the stay was gazing at the stars at night through the large floor to ceiling window. It was the most peaceful way to fall asleep. The level of care and attention didn't stop there - private transfers in luxurious Mercedes Benz cars ensured our safety and comfort throughout the trip. The transfer company itself was impressive and knew the owner and hotel manager extremely well, making us feel comfortable and confident. The location itself was perfect - close enough to the town for convenience, yet set amidst the serene and beautiful Douro Valley. The true Douro Valley, by the way. If you’re looking for something intimate and sophisticated, this is it.

What a treasure of a place! The place is perfect for a calm and restful getaway. The staff was amazing and attentive throughout our entire stay and the dinner is a must!

Intimate and small with amazing rooms and picture postcard views, food superb. The small team that run this place work really hard on the details to make this a very special place.

Perhaps the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Service is warm and personal, the best I've experienced by a long way. The room we stayed in was perfect, pictures can't really show how lovely it is. The same goes for the surroundings, wich are spectacular. Looking forward to going back as soon as possible!

Everything was such a dream. The service, the views, the small details, the meals, the comfort of the bed, and my gosh, the staff is incredible. One of the most memorable experiences I've had to date.

What an incredible place! Words and pictures can not do justice to the uniqueness and beauty of this hotel. With only three rooms on the premise, we the guests had a certain sense of home away from home as soon as we stepped on the property; Almost every window in this hotel has breadmaking view to melt you away. I also strongly urge the guests to at least try one dinner on site. Food is delicious but the service is even better. If this is your first time in Duoro Valley, please stay here. For the only bad thing is when you have to pack and leave.

My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary and it was a dream. I live in Portugal, and this is the best service I've had in the entire country. The hotel itself is small - there are only three rooms - which is fantastic, as you don't feel like just another guest. If anything, when you go downstairs for breakfast, it feels like you are home. The staff are universally friendly and all speak many languages, including English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French. Silvia in particular was incredible. I called ahead, and they organized flowers and champagne for the room when we arrived. When the room we were given didn't have the view I expected from the photos here (two rooms have the view of the valley, and one to the east), they upgraded us without hesitation to their best room, since it was free. The whole hotel is extremely well designed - homey but modern. They have contacts seemingly at every attraction, vineyard, and restaurant, and were able to call for us to schedule things - even when the public phone numbers weren't working. They have straight five star reviews for a reason. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastisk gennemført nyt hotel, udsigterne fra haven og gennem de store vinduespartier, giver en smuk oplevede af Douro dalen. Værelser er smagfuldt indrettet. Maden er helt i top, der er Ikke noget der ikke er tænkt over, vi tog menuen med vin, super lækker oplevelse, morgenmaden er sublim og lækker. Kan varmt anbefale et ophold, det giver ro i sjælen. Tak
