GBGBThe location was handy for my purposes. Quiet street location with available parking.
1. On arrival there was no answer at the door. Called the host and she called her mother who was inside. 2. There's a family living in this house. No mention of that in the listing. This may or may not be a problem for a guest, but it should be included in the description. 3. I was shown to the room, but not shown where the bathroom was. I had to go back and ask, I'm not about to start opening doors looking for the bathroom. 4. No towels provided. Lucky I brought a towel with me just in case. 5. Using the kitchen here seems to be a problem for the host. I didn't feel welcome there. Also, while I was heating dinner, the kids were fighting and screaming at each other. 6. The place isn't clean. The kitchen in particular. The hob is filthy. 7. The room... There's a bed and a hard plastic chair, a desk and a wardrobe. There's no bedside light, and nowhere to plug a phone charger near the bed. When you turn out the lights at night, you have to walk back to the bed in darkness, and you can't use your phone for light, it's plugged in on the other side of the room. 8. I brought a small car fridge with me to store food. It uses very little electricity and is silent in operation. The first day, I left for work, and when I came back the fridge was switched off at the wall. The food I had stored in there was spoiled. If the host had a problem they could have said something instead, I can leave it plugged in in the car. This also demonstrates that the host is snooping at your things when you go out.. I paid for 5 nights and stayed for 2. Lost the rest of the money and had to pay for alternative accommodation. This was an expensive mistake.
