Medieval roots and Harry Potter TownHouse - Hiking near Ludlow

The apartment was located on a main street in Leominster but with a car park out the back. This would be a superb place to stay if you had bikes and/or lots of outdoors gear as you enter via a large downstairs hallway/boot room space. Upstairs there is a sitting room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom, all sporting a nice amount of historic features but with the modern appliances you'd hope for. Plus a range of books and games supplied. The bedrooms are located up a further floor, with an additional bathroom, and we found the double beds in the two front rooms comfortable - there were only two of us staying but you could easily fit 8 or more people in this place, and it would be superb for a large group of friends/family to stay in. We had been concerned it might be noisy, being right on the main street, but this didn't end up being a problem. There was an Aldi and a Co-op right out the back and several pubs within walking distance.

While we were very happy to have washing facilities available (this was part of the reason I booked this place), they are located in a separate laundry room out the back, so I had to keep going outside and up and down the stairs to check on the laundry etc. It looked like a shared laundry (and I had to remove a load of washing from the machine to use it), so I didn't just want to leave it out there overnight. A lot of the stores nearby had closed down and sat empty, so the area didn't have a lot of ambiance. The Harry Potter link was tenuous (the DVDs and board games were provided but other than that, not really anything to make it HP themed) but I didn't book it for that purpose, so it didn't worry me.
