Seaview. Promenade - safe walking along the beach. Close by shops and restaurants and fancy mall - all within walking distance. Yeah the thing with swimming in ocean with high ecoli still concerns me so we didn’t go for a swim in the ocean but the view remains magnificent. Lots of people exercising and walking. We had amazing warm beautiful sun shine (simply love Durban for its beautiful warm winter weather).

I booked the place for a girls weekend getaway. 1. There is a breakage deposit of R1500 must be paid on arrival. I didn’t see this anywhere when I made the booking. We checked out the 11 August and refund was only processed when I enquired on Thursday 15 August, I received a reply on Friday writing that it will be processed on that day - hmmmm. 2. Toilet paper - there were only 2 rolls of Toilet paper ( it was not full rolls). For the entire weekend. 3. Towels - small bath towels for entire weekend. So 1 towel per person. NO pool or beach towels. 4. Geyser is probably very very small as the hot water barely lasts for 1 and half person to shower (my sister took a 3 min shower, I got into the shower and halfway through the water was cold). No one else could shower especially after we’d exercise. 5. The hair dryer tripped the electricity. We searched and couldn’t find the DB to put the plugs back on. After back and forth comms with the people of the place in the evening we managed to find the DB and put back the plugs. 6. The drain smelt really bad in the kitchen. I throw in boiling water and reported it to the cleaner the next day. The cupboards were all the detergents and brooms were kept was untidy with no proper broom cupboard. 7. Check out is at 9:30 & not between 9-10 as advertised on Bookings.com. Its an old apartment with old furnishings. Cupboards do not close properly. No hand soap or Hand wash in the bathrooms. Not the comfortable accommodation I had hoped for reading the reviews. I was embarrassed as I booked the place and my guests wasn’t comfortable. Well none the matter we enjoyed our time together and walks on the beach. I am very well travelled and away every few weeks so I’m well experienced when it comes to booking accommodation certainly not a place I’d recommend for my future stays.

Good location, serviced apartment

The sea was not safe to swim in ! What is the point of going on a beach holiday if you cant swim in the sea? Should the owners of the properties along the sea not meet to discuss possible options and solutions?

Everything,was excellent,, very clean, kitchen everything is available for cooking

The was water problem during my stay, but I was told the whole umlanga had water problem

Neat, beautiful and perfect for our family

Proximity to shops, restaurants and beach

There were no Tissues in the house and the DSTV couldn't play some channels
