Views and location were fantastic and host was very friendly. Perfect location for a wedding at Craig-y-Nos. We'd consider staying again if the issues below were dealt with as its very good value for money but a clean bed that actually functions is a must, for any priced room anywhere. Same goes for the bathroom. The basics weren't met here but it wouldn't have taken a lot to address. For a lower rate room, this was fab, had the bed been usable.

Mattress was appalling. You could feel every spring. We had to pad it out with duvets from the other two beds but it still sagged in the middle. Bed frame felt very unstable, like it may fall apart at any minute. Massive orange stain on the bed spread as well. It had been cleaned but was still stained so a new duvet cover would've been appreciated. Lots of hair in the shower tray and a lot of flies/spiders/debris possibly from vent above shower. But it definitely hadn't been cleaned very recently prior to our stay. Clumps of hair on the bathroom floor, etc. The fan was handy as the room got very hot but a quick wipe round of it would've been a good idea as a lot of thick dust flew out when first switched on. General appearance of the property is tired and dated. A clean up of the outside areas/garden and entrances would make a huge difference and could warrant an increase in price due to the gorgeous location. There's definitely room for improvement here. Just a shame about the beds and bathroom.

The property is advertised as a white cottage, we stayed in what was referred to as the brown cottage which is a red brick converted bungalow. The main door opens to block the exit to the room we are in. And the doors are not fire rated. There are no extinguishers or fire blankets. No door between the kitchenette and bedroom. The windows do not open to the required 90degrees potentially trapping the occupants. The bathroom has no ventilation and the light is not the correct IPrating. All of these things are breaches to building regulations and mean the property should not be used for guests as it is unsafe. Fire regulations and electrical safety. Then there is the black mould in the bathroom, the Mountain View which is a fence (bedroom), the dirty cups, sodden bath mat, 1 bleach stained towel for 4 occupants. I was particularly impressed by the lawnmower and strimmer stored in the bedroom.

Je to skvělá základna pro výlety. The National Showcaves Centre for Wales je 30 minut pěšky odtud, autobusové zastávky nedaleko (pozor, na nejbližší zastávce Penyult Turn atobusy nestaví, zastávka tam není, řidič byl překvapen...). Krásný výhled z okna, čistý, příjemný koberec a celý pokoj. Dobrá komunikace s majitely. I když se vyskytly určité nepředvídatelné problémy, majitelé je rychle vyřešili, byli velmi ochotní, vyšli nám vstříc. Dům je na klidné samotě.

Matrace na manželské posteli byly proleželé, cítili jsme dráty uvnitř. Ne všechno nádobí bylo čisté. Uvítali bychom větší specifikaci, jaké kuchyňské vybavení je na místě.

The location was good, bed's were clean and comfy. Had all the basics and no issues.

There was only the small sink in the bathroom for water and washing up. The locks on the doors were temperamental and unlocked from the outside with a code. I felt others could have the code and be able to get in, there was no other way to lock the door from the inside. I was alone with my son, maybe this wouldn't be an issue for others.

We were very satisfied with our stay. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the nature was wonderful.

Great facilities, really cosy and good use of the space! Garden is lovely and Karen is so nice. Also super clean. We’ll definitely return!
