This was by far the worst rental experience I’ve ever endured. Don’t let the location fool you – it is absolutely *not* worth it. Upon arrival and throughout my stay, I was horrified to find not only dirty floors but cockroaches – both dead and alive – in every room and even the countertops. But that was only the beginning. The real shock came after three days of showering, only to find out I’d been standing in backed-up sewage in the bathtub! Absolutely repulsive. False advertising topped off this nightmare: the listing claimed there was a washer and dryer in the kitchen, yet there wasn’t one in the entire apartment. Lights weren’t working when I arrived, and I was locked out for the 30 minutes due to a malfunctioning door code. There were cigarette stains on the kitchen table and other pieces of furniture in the bedroom. Then, the rules – an *arms-length list* of them – made the place feel even more oppressive. Most of these were visible only after I committed, and they were beyond excessive. The property management setup was a complete fiasco. LISTR, the primary customer-facing company, outsourced their support to the Philippines, where representatives could only provide scripted, unhelpful responses and empty promises. Meanwhile, Keyes Property Management, supposedly handling things from Pompano Beach, was initially silent and unresponsive. After three days of my persistence, Keyes finally got involved but insisted on primarily communicating through the booking.com portal and through LISTR, making resolution extremely difficult. Ultimately, I was forced to cut my stay short and move to another property. Despite serious and egregious issues from day one, they initially refused to refund my entire stay until after 7.5 total phone hours spent arguing with them. No location perk could make up for this health code disaster.

I liked that it was clean, the host was quick to respond on an issue we brought up and was fixed.

Place didn’t have a broom or mop. Cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen.

The view outside the door, but that was it, look elsewhere

Place was dirty, a/c filters so dirty had to take the cover off to get air flow. Dirty rug in master bedroom, fan and light didn’t work in master bedroom, so couldn’t see anything. TV system really bad, stunk!! They make you think the pool is in front of your place, it’s Not! Bathroom smelled of bad BO, shower curtain smelled bad and was filthy. The kicker is you have to fight to get your security deposit back, they hold it for 3 weeks after the place was inspected the day I left. Then it took email after email and threatening to sue them to get my deposit back. STAY AWAY, far away. No communication when you get there, can’t call anyone if you have a problem, they don’t let you. I took pictures if anyone needs proof, Terrible!!
