Off Grid Travel at Cambo Estate

The hideaway is luxury “off grid” accommodation. It has everything you need for a cosy, comfortable, relaxing break. Really spacious and private. The views are beautiful! Fiona is very attentive and friendly when I’ve had any correspondence. I stayed at the Bothy previously and much prefer the Hideaway.

The bed linen wasn’t very comfortable, it was a hessian / linen material that was a little scratchy - that is the only negative thing I have to say.

Not necessarily a dislike but I'd have loved some more bird boxes or things to attract the animals in and around the lodge. Have it filled with different birds and squirrels etc

Every little thing had been thought about and left us wanting for nothing during our stay. Better than any Hotel service. Staff and organisers were helpful and prompt throughout. A perfect getaway and a beautiful example of Scotland.

That we had to leave

Fiona was amazing and incredibly accommodating. Attention to detail was first class. So many small touches that added to our experience.

The seating is uncomfortable if 4 people as against the window there is no cushioning. BUT….. to be fair, that means the view is opened up and that is amazing!

The property is relatively secluded, eco friendly with a touch of luxury. The host, Fiona was super attentive and most helpful. There is a large cool box outside which kept ice frozen for 2 days. Plenty of dry fire wood for the log burner and fire pit. Bathroom & kitchen essentials were provided. I’ll definitely be back!

There is a hole in the wall behind the both and it meant people were walking in / out of the area.

The property itself was absolutely top notch. The layout, the outside space and the log burner, all were fantastic.

I know it was off-grid, but some access to WiFi would have been nice!!

Such a beautiful spot. It is very peaceful here and was a real treat to rent The Hideaway. If you have the chance to book this you will not be disappointed. Everything you need is provided and all you have to do is sort out your food or order a hamper which we did do. We enjoyed watching the sun going down and the moonlight glistening on the water...
