Villa Arismari - Kokkino Chorio

Character property, in a typical narrow road Cretan village, friendly locals and 2 local Taverna's within easy walking distance and a well stocked local shop. Great having a plunge pool. Villa had plenty of indoor and outdoor furniture, crockery and a BBQ area. Roof Terrace with lovely views of the sea and mountains. Air conditioning in all areas was a welcome break from the heat. Beautiful cove 25 minute walk away, fabulous for snorkeling.

Property not quite as expected from the photos, one double room is a wooden chalet style 2nd floor extension to the rest of the villa, have to leave the outside doors unlocked so people using this room can access the villa and bathroom during the night, not suitable for children. The kitchen units require attention, rotten and collapsing behind the sink, ants over the work tops, used vinegar to deter them. Microwave not working, oven was difficult to work and low temperatures. Expect mains water issues, there is an ongoing local water pressure issue that resulted in no water at some point each day, the hosts did respond to the need for water and delivered water as required. There is also a leak to the water storage tank, which doesn't help maintain water supply, with a family of 4 it was a struggle and inconvenience, we did save waste shower water for flushing the WC to help preserve supply.

We had a very nice stay at Villa Arismari. We arrived and checked-in late, but the host did his best for us. We were 7, but had enough space for everyone. The swimming pool was a huge +. We had some small issues in the villa, but they were fixed very quickly. Thank you so much!

Please fix a problem with ants. Only 1 bathroom and shared with toilets.
