Lux Aprt in a Graphical Village

The apartment was clean, nice, modern. The owners can be reached at any time. But the most amazing part of the stay is the village and its residents! The locals there are extremely kind and helpful. You should go to the local restaurant at the main square, which is three minutes away from the apartment on foot. The food there is really tasty and unbelievably affordable. We parked the car at the paring lot near the restaurant and walked a few minutes to the apartment.

It is a bit unpractical that you have to walk up and down the stairs as the bathroom and the sleeping area are upstairs. Moreover, the sink in the bathroom is really tiny and it is located directly under the mirror cabinet.

Mitten in der Innenstadt liegt das Apartment auf zwei Etagen, so dass man keine weiten Wege zur Taverna oder zu einem Mini Market hat. Es war super ausgestattet, so dass wir auch etwas kochen konnten. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich!

Da das Apartment an sich nicht sehr groß ist, hat man beim Duschen gleich das gesamte kleine Bad unter Wasser gesetzt. :-) Aber es ist alles gleich schnell wieder getrocknet.

A lovely apartment, recently renovated, in a village where a lot of other buildings are also being renovated, but which hasn't stopped the village keeping its rustic local charm. The hosts were helpful, and we particularly loved the local taverna, where we were made to feel very welcome and 'at home' by both the proprietors and the customers, and the food was fantastic and the whole meal, including drinks, cost €12.50 per head. There were two tavernas and although I can't read Greek and so can't give the address of this one, I have put some photos of the outside - I wholeheartedly recommend it if you stay there (it is in the main part of the village almost dead opposite the shop). I think the thing that struck us most about the village was that although it felt very secluded and remote, and was wonderfully quiet and off the beaten track, it is about as far from Heraklion as Heathrow is from London!

The bedroom didn’t have something to put our staff, the bathroom was really small but totally clean. The ladder was also uncvovinied for a tall person like us or for a person who is not fit. Also, the air condition downstairs didn’t work.

Whilst it was a little tricky to find the apartment once found very easy to get to. We had a motorbike so parked in the square and then a short walk to apartment. Loved the village experience, the people and the tavern in the square. The apartment itself was brand new. Appreciated the extra toilet downstairs and having a washing machine was wonderful.

A beautifully renovated apartment - everything to the highest standards. In terms of design, the owner has created a masterpiece from the space available. It is very compact, but perfect in every way. The kitchen was amazing, with everything needed (except a kitchen knife). The bathroom was incredibly compact, but good. Just needed a bracket for the showerhead. All the fittings from kitchen to bathroom to windows and doors were to the highest quality. Olive oil and raki on arrival was a nice touch. Not forgetting the outside patio, and the outside toilet and new washing machine.

It was very difficult to find. The instructions were all in Greek, so we did'nt really know where to go. The owner eventually sent a dropped pin, but in the tiny streets of the old village, it was 50m out, and that made it tough to actually find it! I would have liked a shower bracket for the showerhead, plus a kitchen knife and cutting board in the kitchen.

Everything was spotless, the owner was very helpful. It was a wonderful stay and I would recommend this apartment to any of my friends. 👌🏼

Nice appartment with easy self check-in. Two minutes from shops and restaurants. Very friendly hosts.
