Dimora Storica Torre degli Arduini, San Giacomo, Spoleto

Disaster. In the middle of the night, we were left without a room with a small child, even though we had paid for it. We arrived at the accommodation at 9:30 PM (check-in time on Booking is 11:00 PM), but the host did not want to answer the phone or reply to SMS messages upon our arrival. She did this on purpose. Friendly locals who wanted to help us called her from local Italian numbers, and in the conversation, despite a valid and paid reservation, she claimed that she did not know me and that there was no reservation. She did not pick up the phone for me, and in the conversation with the locals she did not want to talk to me (when they suggested it) because she supposedly did not speak English (it is the number that is the contact on Booking). After an hour of unsuccessful attempts to call the host and convince her to accept us into the room we had paid for, we were left with a scared child, in the middle of nowhere, without accommodation. After all this, the next morning (despite countless calls to the contact number and many SMS and Booking messages about our arrival that I sent to her number and the host's conversations with locals who wanted to help me) the host dismissively informed Booking that we had not arrived at the accommodation.

Un pò tutto. La location è molto suggestiva. È un vero e proprio castello che con il tempo è stato adibito a varie abitazioni civili. L'appartamento è arredato con stile e si trova a 6-7 km da Spoleto. Davanti c'è un forno bar SPETTACOLARE! Letto molto comodo e qualità del sonno ottima. Noi abbiamo avuto un problema ma è stato risolto con classe e prontezza dalla proprietaria.

Scale a chiocciola un pò strette per raggiungere il piano. Ma è un castello perciò quale scomodità è ammessa. Soffitto della camera da letto mansardato perciò bisogna state attenti a camminare per non sbattere la testa.

De trap :-) Is gewoon een hele klim naar de bovenste etage als je al een hele lange dag hebt gefietst. Ik vind het geen probleem, maar ik mij voorstellen dat dat voor sommigen lastig kan zijn. Misschien dat bij de beschrijving aangeven?

La dimora molto carina e ben curata, ci è piaciuta molto. Non è la torre fronte come in foto ma un abitazione a torre con tetto spiovente più all interno del complesso. La scala è molto più comoda di come descritta specie quella interna. Dalla descrizione di alcune recensioni ci aspettavamo chissà cosa. Anche la mansarda è comoda. Il prezzo è decisamente conveniente.

Abbiamo avuto freddo. Facevano in casa 15,5 gradi. I termosifoni erano controllati via internet a distanza e non li abbiamo potuti accendere anche perché fuori dal periodo previsto nei comuni ma abbiamo beccato dei giorni freddi vicini allo 0 anche se erano i primi di ottobre Abbiamo rimediato con i fornelli della cucina... Una stufetta di emergenza sarebbe utile. 😁

Si trova al ultimo piano della dimora storica perciò fa comodo a chi viaggia leggero senza valigie perché bisogna affrontare una scala abbastanza stretta per salire
