This waterview (not waterfront) cabin is part of a complex of other similar appearing newly built cabins. You will see a lot of black dirt mixed with rubble/rocks around the property (I still recommend renting this cabin). We stayed at cabin 21, which is located in the second row of cabins from the water (see pictures). However, each unit is properly angled and elevated to get unobstructed views of the water and mountains. The living room/kitchen is striking with large windows and remote operated sunscreens to counter the heat from the evening sun. There is a large sectional sofa, dining table, and futon, and one can watch northern lights in winter from the living room through the massive windows without stepping outside the house. The surrounding area has no light pollution, and the majestic Lofoten mountain range will provide a great backdrop for the northern lights. Kitchen is extensively equipped with oven, microwave, refrigerator, cooking top, tea pot, toaster, utensils, freezer ice cube tray along with cooking supplies like salt, pepper, oil, honey, vinegar etc. ,There are two small bedrooms with bunk beds (x 1 in one and x 2 in the other) to accommodate a family of 7 (there is a sofa-bed in the living room for additional people as needed). Both bedrooms have black-out shades (light leaks from the sides), and the mattresses/pillows are very comfortable. There is a single bathroom with a sink, shower (with doors), toilet, and washer/dryer combo (works very well). We also appreciated the powerful air-conditioner/heat pump (with remote control) in the living room, which is rare to see in Norway. Wi-Fi connection is excellent (100mbps speed), and the living room has a large Samsung TV with a media center with built-in Netflix, Amazon, to use with your own log-in credentials.

Recommendations: Large sized bath towels (the included towels are too small). Two bathrobes or two additional large towels for Jacuzzi use. A kitchen paper towel roll to wipe out cooking oils and spillage. Remove the induction cooktop incompatible pan from the utensils (the larger one is compatible, but the other smaller one prevents the starting of the cooktop).

Beautiful new property with top notch appliances. Hot tub was very nice and host was very responsive.

Beds were too soft and not good for resting after a full day of hiking. The shades need to be darker as a lot of light came through all day (24 hours of sunlight). Property could use some screens as well as you couldn’t open any windows or doors without bugs flying into the rooms.

I couldn't take a shower because I couldn't drain the shower. Cleaning was bleeding
