Stylish Tiny House with Mountain Views & Private Courtyard

I liked the novelty of a tiny home. It was small and compact, but comfortable and had everything we needed.

Quirky fun

Great location, easy to find, can walk downtown or to breweries. Able to fold out the dining area to make a lounger - that was great!

The pipe steps are tricky on the feet, if you get up in the night I don’t recommend it. Dryer doesn’t really dry - better to hang up your clothes. Heat pump or air conditioning may be needed for summers moving forward.

We loved our stay and felt everything was as expected. The house was great and we really enjoyed exploring the novelty of the tiny house and using the hot tub. Most of the tiny house was in excellent condition. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

None of the below impacted our experience but the bathroom door could use a repaint and a couple of the fixtures (bathroom tap) may need to be refitted. We also felt the bottom steps to the bed could maybe be solid instead of the metal fixtures which were a little uncomfortable to climb. Also, there weren't any firelighters, which meant we couldn't make a fire but it was so warm we didn't need one.

The style of this apartment was a little surprising at first and some of was a bit strange to the older members of the group but you have to admire the attention to detail and quality. We left feeling it was a fun and comfortable space, which was very different from the grey motel rooms we had stayed in - which had got to be good! We loved the huge kitchen space and the pool area is lovely.

The first impression was a dirty carpet. I contacted the owner and they responded quickly. I'm not sure of the wisdom of having a pale pink carpet as you enter from outside.

Loved the decor! The pool and hot tub were great. Super close to town too.

Sadly the hot tub was not turned on properly when we arrived. We were only there for a day and it was pretty disappointing that it heated up the morning we left. The pans were not good. I cook but if you’re not going to it won’t matter.

Location was okay

We booked the “tiny house” and were super disappointed As soon as we turned up my partner and I had instant regret booking this place The place was filthy, by far the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed and smelled horrible The cupboards had greasy finger prints all over, cups weren’t washed, windows were grubby and overall cleanliness was poor! We went to grab a knife out of the draw and it had been used!! So gross We didn’t walk around in bare feet as the place felt too dirty, we seriously considered going back home but as it was my birthday and we paid sooo much to stay we sucked it up, we definitely didn’t hang around the next day. We come over from Queenstown for a relaxing birthday night and that certainly wasn’t the case with our stay here! I wish I had read all the bad reviews before booking! Would not recommend!!!

The kitchen was well equipped.

Dangerous almost vertical ladder style staircase which cannot comply with building or health and safety regulations. The space described as a bedroom is accessed by this ladder and has a ceiling height of approximately 1 mtr at its highest point. Therefore you have to crawl on all fours in and out of the bed which is a mattress directly on the floor. The advert is totally misleading as two rentals are offered together. There is not a bedroom as you cannot stand up in it and the only place to hang your clothes is on a rail above the washing machine! There is also nowhere comfortable to sit and relax inside the 'tiny house'!

This is a very well done, beautiful and comfortable tiny house. It has all of the amenities in the perfect size. There are many thoughtful details at this property, even a washing machine, a private yard with fireplace and access to a beautiful, shared pool and spa on the main house. The location is great, just a few minute drive from the lake and main areas of Wanaka. The bed was very comfortable, but you do have to climb up to the loft.
