When the owner left us alone

The questioning of where we was like im a child. On our way to accomodation was demanding to know exactly what station we was at when n the train. Where we was parked, how long it takes to walk to car etc etc…. Making us pay more for parking, in a really Pushy way even though it’s his own driveway. Literally felt like we couldn’t move without being questioned: horrible attitude and not being upfront about certain things. Then after we have flown from New Zealand, hardly any sleep then persisting to tell us about his family history etc.. when we just wanted to sleep.

Beautiful and clean

I stayed last night with my 7 year old daughter having had this place on my radar for a little while now. We stayed in a bedroom in the main house. Dr Naren was so attentive and informative in his communication with us both this time as well as a previous booking (where we were double booked and couldn't actually stay!). We had the grand tour including learning of the history of the house. It is a beautiful home and location. Dr Naren's wife was similarly very welcoming and we loved playing with the ginger cat, Jazzy. We were able to use the kitchen, store our milk in the fridge etc. The house is located on a private road which is simply beautiful to walk down and quite oasis-like. Parking is an additional charge and is extremely clearly communicated.

Didn’t really see much just slept there after a night out.

Bathroom let the place down missing tiles in shower which could be dangerous Paint peeling in the bathroom Damp on bedroom ceiling Felt uncomfortable with the owner he was a bit too much. Changed for car parking which was in his own from yard. He said £10 for a large car and £7 for normal size car. My car is a mid size so we agreed £7 and in the morning he wanted £10 He left the on inside so we had to wake him up to get in. We had to walk we had to walk past his bedroom to get out and it had a glass door.

Host gentilissimo, ci ha accolto personalmente e ci ha mostrato giardino, fiume e casa raccontandoci tutta la storia dell'edificio e dei dintorni.

It was perfectly situated for Thorpe Park. 15 min walk door to door. Beautiful location on the river and away from traffic of main road. The gardens are beautiful 😍 The host was very accommodating letting us put our picnic and breakfast in their fridge. It was gated, so the car felt safe when we weren't around.

The host was very friendly, but we did feel like we had to walk around on tiptoe when we moved about the house because it was so quiet and we didn't want to disturb anyone. So if you want to be able to talk loudly and make a bit of noise with a friend, maybe this isn't the place for you!

A beautiful property located 4 minutes from Thorpe Park with Thames riverside views and stunning grounds. Set in a private location, the host was very friendly and informative with great insights of the surrounding areas and history.
