Quantock Lodge Vicarage 1

The place was comfy and clean. Decorated well. There was good communication about how to check in and info for the stay. It was nice to have a kitchen to use during the stay.

I enjoyed all the stay, the only negative was the oven was broken, but they did let me know in advance and asked if we wanted the engineer to come during my stay to fix it, so it wasn't an issue.

Excellent location for shopping, Aldi is in walking distance, launderette for drying clothes when its cold and raining, plenty of restaurants and cafes. Rochester High Street is also in walking distance for most. Lovely decor in apartment and little essentials we needed including milk sachets in fridge, bottled water, washing up liquid and bathroom essentials. Quite road and adequate parking. Lovely host, friendly and professional.

The bed was quite firm but we slept very well. Apartment smelt damp which wasn't helped by the constant rain nearly every day during our stay, but air fresheners helped to mask it,

The location is perfect if needing to attend an event in Rochester. Hosts graciously let us park on the driveway & offered alternative roadside parking if we couldn’t park there for some reason. It’s cosy and clean, lovely little basement apartment.

There are a few repair jobs needed, bathroom window doesn’t close, neither does the bathroom door but it didn’t affect us. There was a miscommunication with the check-out time. Check-out time was agreed for 5pm on the app but the cleaner visited around 11am unknowingly. Was quite uncomfortable needing to leave earlier having spoken to the hosts on the phone who were very apologetic.
