Villa Mekong 2 Guesthouse

Mycket bekvämt, perfekt mellanlandning med slowboat! Personalen var mycket trevlig! Fanns frukost/lunch att köpa på plats. Resturang precis runt hörnet :)

Limpio y cuidado, personal amable, desayuno correcto, ni una pega puedo poner.

A cinco minutos del centro, por decir algo, pero después de un día en un barco se agradece.

- Terrasse: schöner Blick über den Mekong - das Zimmer selbst sauber - Tuk Tuk Service umsonst, gut organisiert - schneller Check-in

- kein Wasser zum Duschen (nach Ankunft mit dem Slowboat) - Bad nicht sauber - Bett extremst hart - Fenster schloss nicht komplett: Mücken im Zimmer - laut, da neben Backpacker Hostel - vergleichsweise teuer

We stayed at villa Mekong overnight after taking the slow boat from Huay Xai which was in itself a very long day. The room was up many many stairs so not great for anyone with mobility issues. It was fairly basic with a bed, attached bathroom and good air conditioning and a fan. The room itself did not adequately lock - the "balcony" door was broken and anyone walking around that side of the building could have opened the door. That said the guests were all from the slow boat too so probably not an issue. The shower was luke warm not hot, but on the upside the view was STUNNING watching the sun set over the river. If anyone is going to stay here and use the slow boat I'd recommend waking up early and walking back to the pier to ensure you get a good seat on the boat (staff may tell you they drop you back there at 8.15am but by this time the good boat seats are mostly taken). Good value for money and not bad for a night but I'd hesitate spending longer.

The beds were very hard, the door didn't lock and the shower wasn't really hot
