Villa Mekong 2 Guesthouse

The hotel room looked straight out across the Mekong river. So it was well placed and good value for money well it was cheap and good value so it wasn’t like a luxurious hotel

Everything was fine for a budget hotel

Perfect for a one night stopover in Pakbeng. Saw an elephant from the window in the morning across the river at the elephant park. Comfortable room, just be careful on the stairs on the way up! Also think the rate may be cheaper if you just show up but I wasn’t willing to risk not having somewhere booked. They pick you up from the slow boat dock and drop you back off again.
