Skynest Residences by CityBlue Nairobi Westlands

This hotel feels like home. We had a spacious apartment with everything we needed. What a treat! Friendly staff, nice little supermarket downstairs. All very convenient. It's a wonderful stay here. We extended our stay and they made sure we didn't have to move to another room. Definitely coming back here.

Sometimes the cleaners forgot to bring water or extra toilet paper. But that's really all I can comment. Oh, one more thing: there's a 'trash shute' next to the elevator that's a bit smelly. Don't know why they have that or why they keep the door open. Oh, and the elevator system makes no sense, but that became a bit of a gamification experience for us. ;-)

The rooms are large as they are apartments - for a family of 4 it is suitable with 2x bedrooms and 2x bathrooms. The rooms were clean. The check-in was very smooth. The chocolate shop downstairs is very nice.

We had booked multiple stays at Skynest residences. When we checked in for the first time the ladies at the reception mentioned that the breakfast starts at 6:30 am. We had specifically booked breakfast while choosing this hotel as we wanted to start early to head out to Masai Mara the next day. In the morning next day, the person at the reception said that their 'breakfast promotion' had ended and we will have to pay for it. Whereas, we had booking terms and conditions clearly mentioned that breakfast was included in the stay. He was probably just doing his job but there was no way at that hour this could be resolved. We had to leave the hotel without eating breakfast inspite of paying for it in the room stay. We felt the hotel staff have no information about our multiple stays in the hotel. Also, there are several night clubs below the hotel, it was a weekend night and the whole night there was loud sounds making it a sleepless night for us. We cancelled our following stays with Skynest for this trip and stayed somewhere else. There are better places in the vicinity.
