The Basye House - Secluded Mountain Valley Getaway

Wide open spaces inside and out. Kindness of hosts. Wonderful place for kids and adults with large game room. Super kitchen and dining are spacious. Remote beautiful wooded area. If you come prepared with all that you need, you don’t have to drive the 35 minutes to a Walmart or large grocery store. Many natural areas around to explore: mountain hikes and Shenandoah river floats !

We liked the complete experience at the house-the indoor recreation while it was raining, the outdoor cooking when it wasn’t raining and the secluded nature of the locale.

Maybe the freshness of the towels

The space was perfect for a large family. Great for children. Location was beautiful!

The house was very warm in the upper level. It was difficult to sleep at night. The lower level was very cool and comfortable but the upper was hot at times. I didn’t think to bring coffee filters. The ones there don’t fit the machine. We also didn’t bring paper towels and ran out. The soap containers were almost empty. Probably could have more towels available for a large group.

The house was spacious and clean with lots of different areas to hang out. It wasn’t far from other houses but it felt like it! We really enjoyed the backyard for playing in the snow and building a fire. We do this every winter and everyone agreed this was the best house we have ever stayed in

A beautiful family vacation home. Very clean and plenty of room. Property owners are very nice and easy to talk to. They are very courteous and went above and beyond our expectations to accommodate us and our stay. Beautiful location for a peaceful family retreat. Highly recommend this Property and do plan on staying here again in the near future.
