Beautiful Garden Flat in Bournemouth - First Floor

Large rooms and plenty of space. Clean and tidy. Good location just outside the town centre. Off-street parking is very useful.

Really lovely house, great communication from the hosts. The house was fresh and clean and beds were comfy. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extra touches like complementary cereals to get us started.

The property had been hovered throughout, surfaces cleaned and was very tidy! The beds and pillows were very comfy! The use of the Smart TV was brilliant, accessing YouTube, Netflix, Disney Plus and many on demand channels. A selection of cereals, a loaf of white bread, butter, jam and Tunnocks Teacakes were provided along with milk in the fridge and 2 Chicago Town Pizza’s in the freezer. Salt, pepper, oil, sugar, coffee and teabags were provided in small jars. Hand wash, shampoo, conditioner and body wash were provided in the bathroom. In the kitchen hand wash, washing-up liquid, surface spray, a cloth and a scouring sponge were provided. The heating system was clear to access. There was plenty of storage for clothes and a dressing table with a mirror! Great for getting ready in the morning. Shower and bath were easy to operate with a great temperature control. The vertical heater in the bathroom was great for drying towels. Brilliantly white towels were large and superbly clean! A range of kitchen utensils, crockery, pots & pans and other kitchen equipment items were provided and the gas oven was easy to operate with an extractor fan above. Lots of little things to make our stay easier!

Lock box was tricky to operate no instructions of how to work it were given. I messaged the property but didn’t get an answer, I had to knock on the ground flat door to ask for help. My young son in the car was getting very worried at this point. I had easily parked the car in the drive, which was provided for our first flat. However, the people staying on the ground flat were saying we couldn’t park there as it was for them, but I pointed out the very small printed sign in the porch that said first flat parking only. As I was unpacking the car, 2 more guests for the ground floor flat arrived in their car and were expecting to park in the drive and I had to point out again that it was for the first floor only. They were ok with that and parked at the front of the property. However, when we were out on the second day, they parked their car in the drive leaving us to find a space on outside the property on the street on return. The thumb lock on the entrance door was a bit stiff and was not aligned correctly so it had a gap at the top. On entering the property there was an overwhelming smell of a glade plug-in, which I had to switch off. The back bedroom had an unpleasant smell, which was a mixture of body odour and powerful deodorant, the odour was coming from one of the cushions in the back bedroom and part of the duvet. There was a washing machine, but there wasn’t any washing powder or gel provided. I had to put the cushions out of the way and in a cupboard, the odour continued slightly, but it was tolerable and we turned the duvet around so the smell was a the bottom. Smell was a continuing theme, although our property was non-smoking, the guests in the ground flat were smoking and the smell of canabis spread up to our apartment. The bathroom window could not be closed by the handle, so It felt unsafe. I had to clean the kettle, very dirty inside! Extractor fan greasy around buttons.

The flat was easy to find in a lovely location. It was clean and comfortable, with a few little extras added by our host.

Great location. beautiful spacious flat, well equipped throughout, excellent kitchen, ,super clean, good WiFi.good beds. Good shower, easy self check in. host left toiletries and breakfast!
