Location/spacious

The bathroom needs renovation urgently. Tiny shower, difficult to get in and out of and Shower screen falls apart, large amounts of mould on corner wall. Kitchen functional but needs an update. Only given 1 key set. We asked for 2 but they said no. This was an issue for us. Good size flat but no views except Laneway and no natural sun during the day.

The apartment location is perfect to explore the city and all the beautiful architecture and all the historic parts. All the transportation options are 2-3 min walking distance, if you prefer to use them. It is clean and the communication with the host was excellent. You have all you need to feel like at home.

The location was fabulous and was the best aspect of the accommodation. Very good restaurants and attractions were very nearby. The beach was only five minutes away and Old Town of Alicante is very beautiful.

Ok here we go! the kitchen and bathroom facilities were very clean but the kitchen area had a problem with ants. We had to keep all food locked away and very carefully clean all the surfaces and kitchenware e.g. (plates cups saucepans etc.) otherwise the ants were everywhere. In short the apartment was very nice but badly needs an update/makeover e.g. modern kitchen units, hob and extractor fan (there is no extractor fan) The shower and bathroom could also benefit from a major refit. The sofa bed in the lounge was also in bad need of repair or renewal. its a very pleasant apartment but needs updating…..for a relatively small amount of money the apartment could be much improved.

No sound proofing and very noisy all night. The apartment was clean but very tired looking. An extremely small shower cubicle, OK for us, but if you are a large person you would struggle.

Location was perfect for us. Right in the heart of the city with plenty of bars and restaurants around and only a 10 min walk to the beach. The bedrooms were bright and airy and had a small balcony off each so you could sit and watch the world go by. Bedding and towels were very clean and comfortable. Overall decor needs to be freshened up as building is old and has some wear and tear. Check in was very easy. Videos were provided to ensure we got the right lock box and another video walked us from door to apartment to make sure we got to correct one. Was a pleasant experience but we didn't spend much time in the apartment (as we were sightseeing during the day and out at night). Some improvements to be made for sure.

1. Remove shower door and replace with curtain. The shower tray is big enough but the opening to get into the shower is a tight squeeze because of the way the shower door opens 2. Sofa was very uncomfortable to sit on so i can imagine is worse to sleep on so needs to be replaced with something more comfortable. As a minimum, it needs to be deep cleaned.

Loved the location in the heart of the pedestrianised old town and the little balconies, giving an opportunity to sit in the sun or shade and watch the world go by. The location suited us as there was an array of great restaurants on the doorstep, so it was bustling in the evenings and quiet in the day. Within a 5 min walk we were at the marina/beachfront. The sea is nice and clear and the sand is soft, but the beach can get busy. In the other direction around 12 mins uphill walk was the Mercado with beautiful fresh produce and where the train stops. The apartment was simply furnished and compact, but had what we needed for 4 of us. and the lovely high ceilings made it feel bigger. The amenities we used were all useful - lovely cold fridge, hob, Spanish toaster, washing machine & airer. We went to Benidorm by train out of curiosity, took just over an hour and cost about 5 euros return - good value, out of busy season and pleasant enough. Alicante is an attractive town, super clean, around 20 mins from the airport (cost 25 euros in a taxi for 4 with luggage), good food, historical buildings, castle, beach & marina...really good for a short break or longer stay like us.

Very simple things...at the time of booking I was sent a message saying I'll need to complete guest info asap. I didn't receive details as anticipated which concerned me, the same for collecting the key - it was Easter weekend and my evening flight was delayed. Literally all it would take is to be informed we'd get the key code the day before! Just a couple of things in the apartment would be appreciated - very basic things... a guest info guide, not just a map with restaurant info...practical things like where to put rubbish (we worked it out since there are refuse stations in the streets), how the hob works, place a sanitary bin in the bathroom, nicer towels. This isn't a moan as it's terrific the way they keep this city clean, just be prepared for the street cleaners to come every other day early in the morning with a jet wash!

Loved the location, made it easy to get around the city and there was a great atmosphere to look over from the balconies.
