"Calming, relaxing and lovely country walks."

10.0

Everything it was a chilled out relaxing weekend. We would definitely recommend to all who are looking for a relaxing and peaceful break away.

I would recommend in having a visitors book to be able to write comments for the hosts to look back at. That is my only thing as everything else was just perfect. Thank you.👍👍

"Very clean, Home from home everything you need is there . Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area . Will def reco"

9.0

The property was huge had an en-suite bathroom additional bathroom upstairs and downstairs loo . Very well presented and very clean . Had everything needed home from home . Owners were lovely very friendly . We only stayed one night on our way to Cornwall . But was a really comfy place . Felt relaxed . Also , as a downstairs bedroom if anyone is travelling and can’t do the stairs .

The only thing I would say is there were no gates on the front garden . We had 2 dogs . It would have been nice to let them run around and not worry about them escaping . The garden is very small if staying longer . Garden could do with an uplift and outside furniture a paint .

"The location was great, and for the money, we got a superb deal. It is a spacious place, every resource you could need."

Great location and lovely surroundings.

There was nothing I disliked! It was dated, but I literally couldn’t have cared less, we couldn’t fault the place. Perfect for what we needed.

"Decent place for walkers, lovely countryside"

7.0

All in all, the property was in a great location for us personally as our son lives very close by in the new Saxon Brook development only a few minutes away. Conveniently close, it was relatively comfortable. Good location for walking and having a dog/dogs with you. We did enjoy our stay on the whole but there are some things I’ve mentioned in the things we didn’t like, more to warn people than anything else. We would consider using it again.

The back part of the house isn’t particularly dog friendly as there’s a fence panel missing meaning our young puppy could escape into the property next door. The next thing to mention is that we booked for 6 people but each room had one bath towel and one hand towel, not sure why you’d think we’d want to be sharing bath towels, maybe we could share a hand towel but even then, it would be nice to have the right amount of towels left out on the beds. Lastly, the biggest thing to let anyone know about is that we had sat in the lounge watching tv nice and warm having used the fireplace heater, we retired to bed where it was a little chilly but not uncomfortable at all, we were quite snug. However, not sure about what time I woke up during the night, somewhere between 4-6am when it was very dark, I was sweating with the heat, there was a loud humming noise, the type of noise an extractor fan would make in a bathroom, I got up and checked the en-suite, it wasn’t from there, I then went out of the bedroom to investigate the bathroom at the top of the stairs and it wasn’t from there either but I realised it was coming from inside a cupboard on the landing in which I can only assume is some kind of old boiler. We used to have something like this in our own house when we moved in 18yrs ago, we used to call it a Vulcan bomber of a boiler. The noise is horrendous. I woke my wife up with the noise the door made opening and closing it and she could also hear this continual noise it made. My son and his g/friend staying in the other upstairs room also woke up hearing this noise and also very hot. I appreciate the need to make sure a place is warm but allowing a customer some kind of control would be nice, the door containing the boiler had a padlock on it, I’d have switched it off if I could. We did manage to eventually get back to sleep and when we woke up, the noise had stopped as I imagine the heating cycle had finished.
