This hotel is amazing the staff could not do enough for you friendly made us feel welcome from the minute we waked in. Food was excellent I can go on and on but no negative remarks at-all. Heated Swimming pool and sauna. Perfect, We have booked again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly, rooms were excellent and food was lovely. Outside swimming pool was a nice bonus.

Overall good. Beautiful room and hotel. Room very hot though and unfortunately the hotel staff couldn't fix the problem. It was 24 degrees permanently. We had to leave the wondow open and the duvet off. Beautiful food in the restaurant in the evening. Breakfast ok, nothing special.

My wife and I had an amazing time. We had a weekend away together and would highly recommend to others. The staff were lovely and attentive and the food was delicious. The room was modern and clean and very comfy. Hopefully we can stay again in the future.

Don’t get me wrong, Dewars is a lovely property and certainly stands out from the crowd, however, it’s let down by the lack of customer service professionalism. We checked in, nobody behind the reception, when somebody did check us in they didn’t tell us anything (literally anything such as what time breakfast was served, where to go for breakfast, wi-fi, checkout times - basic stuff). The staff member walked us to our room but got lost (this place is not that big) and the room we stayed in was furnace hot (it was a hot day) and had a small window but no means of air movement (a fan would have been great). I’m used to staying is well ran hotels and as snazzy as this place is, there is no denying that it’s let down by poorly trained staff. A uniform wouldn’t go amiss either as doc martins and cropped trousers is not a good look. I will give credit to the barman (he also served us breakfast - excellent btw) as he was dressed smartly and genuinely cared about his role and the guests. Some adjustments in overall management would make this place fantastic.

I honestly can’t speak highly enough of Dewars! My daughter and me stayed 2 nights for our annual Flamingo Land trip. Every single element of the hotel, restaurant and our stay was 10/10. The location (2 min walk to Flamingo Land), the beautiful grounds, the classy heated outdoor pool, the luxurious decor (genuinely, every single cm2 stunningly and luxuriously decorated), the beautiful, high-end, yet cosy rooms with beautiful bathrooms. The last 2 need their own sentences as they were the highlights: I’m a massive foodie and go out of my way to eat in the best restaurants wherever I go - there was no need to travel very far on either evening as the hotel restaurant food was unbelievably good. The menu was very creative and quite ambitious - but my, did it deliver. Every morsel of food from breakfast to dinner on both days was exceptional - in terms of quality of ingredients, presentation, flavour and consistency! Even though everything was sooo good, I would still say that the top highlight was the service! Everyone was so genuinely kind and friendly and just couldn’t do enough for us. One lady even went to the shop to buy melon for my daughter for breakfast cos we told her how much my daughter loves melon! Thank you to all. Coming back with the whole family next year. Already looking forward to it!

Great hotel, staff really friendly, food excellent. Great base for exploring that region of North Yorkshire. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.
