On arrival the twin room facing the street was overwhelmingly hot. On a very sunny day, room prep didn't include closing the curtains against the sun or plugging in the air conditioner unit. It took a long time to cool down as the exhaust pipe hadn't been put through the window for ventilation so it kept heating the room. Another room was offered but was warned against being noisy. So we persevered. Breakfast was good

Hot room, window permanently screwed shut. Poor quality fan which was too noisy to have on at night. Shower temperature not constant, boiling hot to freezing cold every minute or so.

Staff here are friendly, funny and exceptional they made the stay tbh. Everybody on site that were staff were polite and helpful and had a smile. Breakfast was better than expected a good variety was on offer and it was help yourself to how much you wanted. They offered a hot and cold, yogurts, cereal, nice, bread, pastries etc

The rooms are dated, they could do with dusting and cleaning of draws, which were dirty and had dead insects in them (i didn't use the drawers but i always Kim inside them), and cushions and bed end throw could do with a good wash. Our room (double) and our grown children's room (twin room) both had a really weird unpleasant smell. My husband and I had a double room and in all honesty couldn't sleep due to the weird smell, which actually made me feel nauseous, it's a smell I can't describe either. There were a lot of moths on the outside corridor, spider webs and dust in the middle corridor area before entering bedroom do when you opened the bedroom door moths got in, we had to kill 4 moths (these were cloth moths). The location was not fantastic, if you are looking for quietness this is not the area for you, but the noise and local bar/club didn't bother me tbh. We stayed 1 night, which was enough tbh, I couldn't stay longer than 1 night, as we had visited family only a 5min drive away, the location suited us for that reason. For me it's pricey for what you get, especially where it's located

The hotel was easy to find. The parking was free and there were reminders to tell you to book your car in at the reception to avoid a parking ticket. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room was spacious, clean and and comfortable.

The only minor complaint was the noise late at night from the local Wetherspoons pub. There was nothing the hotel could do about that, but if you were a light sleeper it would make a difference.

Awful pillows - very flat and only one provided per person No hand towels supplied, for 'environmental reasons' which meant the bath sheets got soaked from hand washing, very tedious and annoying
