Rocca a Mare Maisonette I

Die Wohnung war sehr zentral gelegen, so hatten wir zu Gaststätten und Sehenswürdigkeiten nur sehr kurze Wege. Die Wohnung war wie beschrieben, alles was wir brauchten war vorhanden. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und würden sie wieder buchen.

How can you have a bathroom downstairs and have to go up and down hideous staircase from the bedroom to the bathroom? Terribly inconvenient!

A super location, although the surroundings are a bit dirty and some building are in ruins but this is Greece. The parking in the port is really close. The downtown with cafes and restaurants is 5 minutes away. The two floors provide ample space, along with the high ceiling. The AC works very well. The small courtyard with terrace furniture is a perfect addition. Due to orientation, the mornings are not hot in the courtyard.

The maisonette is not well equipped if you are looking to make your own food (no salt, very few utensils, no coffee maker). No corkscrew (or it got snatched by previous tenants). The oven does not work. There probably used to be a washing machine before -- the connections are there -- but no. Two rolls of toilet paper is clearly not enough for a weekly stay of 2-3 people. Make sure your communication is clear about your needs, the number of people, etc. We had some issues about it at the beginning; however, the hosts were very attentive later.

L' appartamento è bellissimo. Si è in centro con vista mare. Molto apprezzate le zanzariere a tutte le finestre per poter lasciare le finestre aperte di notte. La casa è spaziosa e molto ben tenuta. Ottimo il materasso ☺️

È stato difficile trovare l' appartamento perché di notte la via non è illuminata e la strada non è ben identificata su Maps.

It’s unique design, and location overlooking the harbour.

The bathroom was down a spiral flight of stairs which was tricky to navigate at night. Also, it would have been great if there was laundry facilities or a washing machine to make our stay easier. The tea and coffee facilities were good but the supply was poor quality and a small amount.

Very well located and nice bedding, towels etc. very close by the Venetian port. Beautiful views from the upstairs window. Very good service: towels, shampoos, water bottles and coffee, tea… The house was very quiet, we didn’t hear anything through the night.

The shower had no curtains so the whole bathroom got wet when showering.
