The Hidden House, Dawlish

Beautiful property with hot showers and comfy beds. The house and garden are a little oasis you wouldn't know your in the centre of dawlish. Car parking is not bad either, plenty of street parking nearby. Lovely foodie gifts were appreciated thank you.

Lovely location and beautiful gardens and the weather was really kind

Parking situation but that was my fault for not checking that when I booked.

Lovely property. Spacious, tidy, especially the airy downstairs. Very convenient location for Dawlish itself and as a base for exploring South and East Devon (Powderham, The Warren, Shaldon, Teignmouth). Great value for a family stay. Communications were generally very good and clear with the hosts. Second shower room/WC downstairs is helpful with multiple guests. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Appliances. Nice garden and possible to eat outside. Parking nearby was free.

Not big issues for us, but might help others to be aware / manage expectations... Nearest on street parking spaces were at Church St, 5 mins or more on foot. Some décor a bit faded. One top bunk bed less comfortable.

Plenty of space and good garden.

It could do with freshening up of paintwork and there were a lot of cobwebs. There are a lot of things that feel more like personal belongings. Nothing terrible just needs a bit of love .

We were really pleased with our stay at the hidden house, it is truly hidden! The little road is nice and quiet, we did find parking, with Dawlish having great public transport we didn’t need to move or drive our cars the whole week. There is a lot of space there, clean and tidy. House is very well stocked with key items you would need plus more. I enjoyed a book and the kids the games.

I think a couple of things would make the stay even better: Blinds in bedroom don’t cover the window fully, so in the morning the blind didn’t really block out the light which affected our sleep. There is a loud buzz sound above the bathroom which seemed loudest around 1am most nights, the first double room and the kids room could hear it.

Amazing house and hosts, got everything we needed including childrens’ toys and books, quite close to the beach.

Perfect weekend with family in Dawlish. Bed were extremely comfortable, bedrooms could do with curtains to block out morning lights which peaks through the sides of the blinds! Kitchen was full of equipment and utensils. They were only 3 of us, think the house would have been a tight squeeze if you were at the maximum capacity. Parking was not an issue for us, we found a spot around the corner.

Walls could do with a lick of paint. Some furniture had a lot of chipped paint. Parking might be an issue to some.(Not us)

Location was fab, near to town centre. It was very clean. Well equipped. Well organised.

Although we knew it was on road parking and it’s made quite clear on booking, it was a bit of an issue. We did get parked but it was difficult to get near to the property.
