Open Road Hostel and Cafe

The hostel is as friendly as it can get. They went out of their way to give us everything that we wanted. The location is perfect. The sight of the fort from the balcony is amazing at night. So lovely to hangout. And if we want to look at the sunset, just order tea and sit on the balcony.

Lovely staff, great views from the terrace. Nice indoor and outdoor seating/ chilling areas. Good location, right next to the fort. They can arrange the camel safari from there for a reasonable price too.

The top bunk is a bit shaky but still comfy

Nice terrace to hang out. They were nice to let us in before the check in time. Hot water in the morning. Toilette paper on request.

Our private room was a disaster: the ceiling falling apart, mold everywhere, dirty and very stinky. The room was sharing the walls with the apartment of the family and the bathroom had like a big window hole on the top so we can hear and smell everything from the other side, we were basically in the same room. Of course is a family living there so it’s normal that they make noise but it’s not normal that we have to soffer for that after that we paid for a private room. The kid crying and screaming all day and the adukts screaming to him, television with super loud volume and music on and a very sick person coughing all day and night. We weren’t able to sleep all night. We told to the owner and he offered us to move in another building 10minutes faraway but for one night booking we didn’t want have to pack again everything and move to another building in a location that we didn’t choose because they gave us a room that was terrible.

The rooftop and common areas are amazing! The hostel is very social and has a great atmosphere. Also the camel tour they offered was amazing (especially because we were a big group going together). Vivien is a really nice and calm person and Ashu and Saja are very sweet people too and made us the best cold coffee, it was so nice to stay here, thank you for everything!!

The atmosphere is very nice, the common area, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the room was nice, the wifi was good

It could help to know in advance that in the evening there is no hot water in the shower and need to ask for a hot bucket

Owners are very nice. Very good location. Food was awesome

All the things are good which I like was there safari plan , they execute all the things which they committed. I stay 4 hostel out of which this is the one of best hostel in Jaisalmer.
