Great location, lovely cottage, well equipped, clean, great local information provided.

Fantastic location so close to beach and high street. The beautiful apartment was very well furnished, clean and had very comfortable beds lots of space in the living room and lovely bathroom

The property is not exclusive and this should be mentioned in listing as I probably wouldn’t have booked it! There is a rented flat above the apartment and the tenants have access through the garden. If you have a reactive dog as I do this is far from ideal. I think during our stay the flat was changing tenants as people were coming and going over the weekend and cleaning till late at night which was far from ideal. There is nothing that the owners can do about this but beware that parking in the area is a nightmare 😩

Bits of dirt on kitchen surfaces, in cutlery tray. Cleaning sponges, mop, broom all left out. Garden hadn’t been swept of lots of leaves and bottle recycling tub full. Towels were well worn and rough. Most importantly the garden isn’t exclusive - massive shock as this isn’t in the description. There is a property above so the tenants have access to walk through garden anytime. As I was on my own for majority of week with my small dog I never felt able to be fully comfortable or safe. Kitchen window lock is very weak and could easily be forced in. The spare room has two single beds- only one was made with the other bed mattress, duvet and pillows left without covers and making the entire room look not particularly presentable which was a let down when having a guest stay for a couple of nights. TV reception is poor.

A really lovely house right in the heart of Whitstable. Just yards from the high street, yet when inside the house it's all very quiet and you wouldn't know you were in the centre of things. The beach and the harbour are no more than a two minute casual walk. The house is very comfortable and furnished with everything you could need. Whitstable is gorgeous, with so many amazing places to eat and so much to do for such a small town, and the shingle beach is wonderful. Our nine year old daughter was very upset when we left and is demanding we book again for her birthday in April.

There is nothing the owners can do about this, but if you haven't been to Whitstable before prepare to have to hunt for an on street parking space. This was made much trickier by the top half of the road being closed whilst we were there as pavements were being rebuilt. There is a much cheaper than expected pay and display (Ringo) car park opposite the house though. Once you have parked, you won't need the car again though as everything you could possibly need is within very easy walking distance.
