Guest House - oxfordshire

Very friendly. Microwave, kettle and coffee maker all included in the room along with cutlery and bowls and other useful items. Convenient parking space was provided outside the property. A very comfortable room with easy access.

Nothing could have been improved other than picky things like a small fridge in the room for milk

Quite difficult to find the house. TV reception was dreadful The single bed was a short sofa bed

The hosts were very friendly. The bedroom was comfortable. Parking was easy. The location was good.

The 'breakfast' facility was unclear before I arrived, although I tried to ask what it would be. As it turned out, it was two pots of DIY porridge, to make yourself, and no other choice (for two nights' stay). Also there was no milk provided, although the wife said she would ask her husband to provide some (UHT would have been fine.) I think the hosts need help with their language skills to make clearer what they are offering in terms of breakfast and accommodation and what they are not - and also how the parking works (they confused the words 'park' - there is a park nextdoor - and 'park' meaning for the car, so I couldn't really understand the instructions). Also the sheets and duvet and pillowcases were flannelette or similar, very very warm, and not suited to summer weather. Cotton would be better, and most people expect it. Although the room and shower room were clean, there were lots of strange objects (packets, bottles etc) lying about and the place had far too strong a smell of bleach. Some of the furniture had bad stain marks on it from hot cups or containers etc. The 'hosts' also didn't seem sure whether to talk to me or not. The room was on the second floor but with common access through the family's downstairs staircase. I think this needs to be clear in the particulars. Finally, I found it very hard to turn the key in the communal front door lock to get back in to the property when I'd been out. It just turned and turned and turned and I began to panic I couldn't get in. I did in the end!

Nothing very horrible house,absolutely disgusting,full of dirty kitchen and not change bedding,looks like someone just left the bed....I never had that bad experience

Everything plus the owner of the house offer to refund but nothing done

The family were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay as easy as possible. The owner even took us to a wedding to ensure that we arrived on time Our room was huge and had everything that we needed for a short stay. It was incredibly affordable

This is a family home, so you have to expect to hear noise. It wasn't a problem for us.

Ideal quiet location, close to all amenities of Banbury, on a main bus route. Property was clean and tidy, the room was very comfortable, with everything you would need for a short stay.
