Rooms were beautifully decorated with lovely couches and decor. The bed was one of the most comfortable in the sacred valley! Sauna was lovely

Ongoing construction during our stay meant we weren’t able to get much peace or quiet. Construction started at 8am outside our window and made it difficult to relax in the room or grounds of the property. Construction was very loud from the yoga room and riverside, and on a small property it meant there was nowhere to escape the noise and dust of construction. Views from the room were also sadly of a concrete block rather than the pristine riverside in the photos. Shower hot water was also intermittent and only worked 2/4 days. The property is quite far from town, not walkable and requires a 15 minute tuk tuk. There are not may food options nearby, so guests are forced to go out for food or pay a premium.

We loved our stay, the room was spacious and comfortable with great views of the river! We loved our ATV tour, our guide was great and we had a great day! The sauna on return was excellent! The staff couldn’t have done more!

Clau and Rudi are amazing hosts and they made us feel welcome. By the end of the stay we felt like we're visiting friends rather than staying in a hotel. Every morning we had a lovely Peruvian breakfast with freshest ingredients—a luxury we don't have in the UK where everything comes chilled from a supermarket from a farm hundreds of miles away, or even another country—and every evening they made us delicious dinner (need to order this in advance). The vibe was very peaceful and we had animals come to visit us. We made friends with Tupac, the llama, and Max the dog. There was a cat and a rooster too but they weren't as friendly and minded their own business. The hotel is situated in the heart of the Sacred Valley (about 1.5hr drive from Cusco) and makes for a perfect base to explore this beautiful part of the world. The Maras salt mines are only a short walk (1.5hr depending on pace and fitness), Ollantaytambo is a short drive away (30min), and Urubamba is nearby too (20 min drive or 1.5hr walk). One thing to note is that the nearest shop is quite far away so make sure you do your shopping in advance. Finally, Rudi is a guide and can provide a wealth of local information about what to do and what to see, as well as various tours starting from the hotel. We highly recommend the ATV tour because that was one of the highlights of our stay at the lodge.

These aren't negatives, really, because we had an amazing stay. These are more of a "heads up" to other travellers to help them set their expectations and ensure a pleasant stay. Firstly, there is still some construction going on around the site (written April 2026). This is totally normal in Peru, as nothing is ever fully finished. Finished buildings incur a tax, so people are always making modifications or building something. The work is always finished by the evening and the nights are quiet, however, do keep this in mind if you plan to have a "zero day" in the hotel. Secondly, please be aware that this is a remote area and showers can be a little temperamental. The water pressure in the system drops sometimes, which results in low flow, which in turns results in cold water. This is totally normal and all you need to do is message someone and it'll get fixed within minutes. It's just the reality of living in a rural area. Being from Eastern Europe we found it quite charming and homelike. Finally, there is a sauna but be mindful of how long it takes to heat up. Your hosts are working around the clock to ensure a pleasant stay, so order your saunas and dinners early to be mindful of their other duties.

The owners were very accommodating .The setting was beautiful, tucked in nature. The room was private but part of nature.
