Stylish House with hot tub

Perfect get away! Glasglow is only about 30 minutes away, beautiful scenery around the area. Can not fault it at all. Host Ken was super friendly and informative felt safe as the house is on the same grounds at the hosts but private enough when in the hot tub etc.

Thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay. The house was beautiful, had everything we needed. Great for country walks with the dog, would definitely return.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

We liked how there was gates that needed a pin to get in to the property it made us feel secure even when we left for our walk we knew even the car was safe. There was loads of space in the rooms and open.

The building we stayed in felt more like a small flat/apartment next to a house although they gave us plenty of privacy I feel like the sliding glass doors could have been tinted on the outside looking in. We also had to open the doors while cooking to let the smell and steam out which then defeated the purpose of the heating being on in the morning and later on so maybe an extractor fan could have been a good idea as it was January so it was cold outside. We also noticed there was no bin beside the kitchen so we had a bag on the floor for rubbish (maybe we couldn’t find it or didn’t notice the bin) But these were just a personal opinion as we still loved our weekend.

At first from the outside I thought the property looked lovely, facilities looked fab & lovely little setup.

When we arrived at the property my husband was informed by the host that there had been a spill in the hot tub the previous evening by the previous guest. My husband came back to the property whilst I was on the phone with my brother, whose ferry to arrange had been canceled. When finished I messaged the host and thanked him for showing us the hot tub and asked if there was any chance the stranded family members could use the accommodation also. To which he declined, which is 100% down to his discretion and he also mentioned his insurance etc only allowed for a certain amount of guests. When I then spoke to my husband he advised me of the spillage in the hot tub. That the water was cloudy and he had just used more chemicals to try and rectify the issue. This was in acceptable and felt the stay was hindered due to it. Then on putting bags away and placing food in freezer etc we found that the bedroom floor was dirty, there were cobwebs above the bed at corner of room, dirty chopping boards and a freezer filled with previous guests food. I did at first say I would discard of the items in the freezer, however this was before I seen the state of the floor etc. Due to the multitude of issues, we decided to leave and requested a refund. To which we have been declined. Very unfortunate situation, I feel they may have rushed the clean. Had I been advised of the issue with the hot tub would have cancelled our stay. We have been informed by the host that they have a routine maintenance policy on the advert and that the hot tub sometimes is not available for guest use. Booking.com have confirmed this is incorrect and that they do not have such policy within the advert. The host also initially offered a reduced rate stay, however I rejected and the host became rather hostile. Stylish home with hot tub, didn’t have a hot tub for use as it was cloudy and host admitted a spill in.

Loved everything

We loved everything about this property. It has recently been done up and looks lovely. We visited in autumn, Ken had made sure that the heating was on before we arrived so it was lovely and warm. The property was private (on the owners grounds) giving us private parking and an enclosed garden. This was particularly important for us as we took our dogs. Both owners were very dog friendly, putting us as ease having dogs with us. The garden was fully equipped with a little garden room and a hot tub which we were able to use throughout our stay. The property had a kitchen and tv with different apps to use. There were great perks such as sweet treats, milk and little Prosecco bottles in the fridge! The owners were also friendly and helpful in giving us recommendations on where to go, but also giving us privacy to enjoy our stay. We had the best time, thank you!

the location was amazing and so relaxing. it’s very private and me and my friend felt very safe to sit in the hot tub late into the night :]

genuinely can’t think of one thing. the amount of stuff available for such a great price is insane!
