BrandNew Luxury Capitol Hill APT! Near Free Trolly

The apartment is wonderful and everything Works perfect.

Maybe some details .. the walls need some paint. Also the closets could have a small bench to put the lugagge on top . Are just some details that can make it more comfortable.

Convenient to the attractions.

The area was very unsafe, gangs hanging opposite the entrance all day and night, shouting obscenities at us and anyone who walked past. For the whole 3 nights we stayed, large gangs of people playing loud rap music, reving cars and shouting till 4am in the morning right outside the bedroom window.. WE GOT NO SLEEP On our second night, people in an upstairs apartment got into an argument with the gang, asking them to keep the noise down. The gang threatened the person with violence when he came out of his apartment. On our last night the police were called, this was after midnight and moved the gang on.......but they came back after the police left. We have informed the management of what happened, they said it has not been an issue before which I don't believe for a minute. The police were also there in the day, when we returned after a sight seeing, talking to the gang but we do not know why. Our recomendation is do not book this room. It has gangs roaming around the apartment abusing you, this is unsafe.

Het begon al voor het inchecken met een dreigende mail met boetes van honderden dollars als je alleen al de airco in het appartement zou aanpassen. Daarnaast is in de omschrijving een parkeerplek op privé terrein aangeboden, maar in de mail is opgenomen dat je alleen op straat mag parkeren. De buurt wordt aangeprezen met local stores en restaurants. De buurt gaf ons echter een super onveilig gevoel. Bij aankomst werd er (op klaarlichte dag en terwijl wij aan kwamen) een poging tot inbraak gedaan bij het complex naast het appartementencomplex. Aan de overkant van de straat staat een sterk vervallen pand (gebroken ramen, dichtgetimmerde ramen, check Google Streetview en zie foto die we bij het wegrijden hebben gemaakt) met veel rondhangend volk, ook bij de entreedeur van het appartement. Bij de supermarkt aan het eind van blok stond een haag van daklozen/bedelaars en in de supermarkt zelf stond een politieagent met kogelwerend vest. Het appartement is te betreden met 2 deurcodes. De toegangsdeur van het appartement zelf voelt niet solide. Die is van hardboard en met een flinke trap zo te openen. Dit gaf ons zo’n onveilig gevoel, ook voor onze puberdochters dat een vakantiegevoel ver te zoeken was. In deze buurt zouden we niet ‘s avonds thuis durven komen. Het appartement zelf had schimmel bij het bed en het andere bed leek gebroken te zijn. Ook de wifi kregen we niet aan de praat. Al met al hebben we onze spullen niet eens uitgepakt, maar zijn direct weer vertrokken.

Le logement était impeccable et mérite une excellente note. Nous avions 2 chambres avec tv, une machine à laver et un sèche linge, une cuisine vraiment équipée. Les propriétaires répondent rapidement à nos demandes par mail depuis le site booking.com. Mais je suis obligée de mettre une très mauvaise note pour le quartier.

Le quartier fait réellement peur pour notre premier voyage aux USA.

Clean and well decorated. It also had a fantastic shower (well needed after long hot sightseeing days) and everything we needed. The washer/dryer was an unexpected bonus. It was good to be near the free streetcar, public transportation and grocery stores.

The location was a little rough in regards to neighborhood.

Rooms were nice and spacious

Parking is an issue. Even though it's free parking was bad

Been on the free Trolly route was a real bonus!

Been allocated the basement apartment. It was very noisy with tenants above us.
