Elegant 2B Retreat City Centre with Secure Parking

The apartment was very clean and modern. There was one dedicated car parking space. Good, easy-to-use shower. Plenty of pillows. Once understood, the door system (as no key) this was very easy to use.

The check-in instructions were unclear. The host did not mention that the door code required five digits plus the ‘#’, which made entry confusing on arrival. Clearer instructions beforehand would have helped. No bedding was provided for the sofa bed on arrival (promptly resolved once raised). Once sofa-bed was set up, space between the kitchen and bathroom was limited. Parking information could be clearer. Only one parking space was available for a group of four, meaning an additional car had to be parked elsewhere. We found a nearby car park which was affordable, but it would have been helpful to know in advance about options such as the NCP opposite the property and any associated costs.

Spotlessly clean, fresh and modern in a perfect, quiet location with private parking outside the apartment. Being also within a few hundred yards walking of the town centre was a huge bonus.

It was very difficult to find fault! If we had to be picky, the seating space around the dining table was a bit cramped but other than that it was great.

We brought a dog, on the booking.com site there was no charge for dogs. This is good, there were no other details other than no charge. We booked only a couple of days before we stayed, then I received a message that I would have to pay £100 deposit because we were bringing a dog. Not happy as I was unaware of this when I booked. I didn't respond to the message, but they took £100 from my credit card anyway, without my consent. Booking.com, this needs to be clear on your website.

The flat was really clean and comfortable. I liked that there were good amenities like the washing machine and dishwasher. It was well equipped.

The hot water stopped working on the second night and wasn’t working the following morning. We messaged for help that morning unfortunately it wasn’t fixed before we left. Thankfully it wasn’t too big a deal for us. More a shame it happened.
