Arrived at the hotel to be told by reception that they did not accept foreign nationals(hold British passport)! Then told us we had to attend local police station to acquire a c form. Trek to police station to be told by the police, the hotel should have the c form and to be completed by them. Return to the hotel to be told could not have the room by which time we were glad to leave the hotel and find alternative accommodation. This is my worst experience of hotel stay( or not in this case!) in India in 2023
