Hot Water Beach Bure Wera

loved the position with a walkway onto the beach. The accomodation had everything, a great kitchen and very comfy bed. Loved that there was a shovel for use on Hot Water beach which was an amazing experience

Location was awesome.

There were lots of ants in the kitchen when we arrived. There was also a rodent incident where we were woken up to a mouse running around the accomodation and had left droppings on the bed and surrounding furniture.

Secluded and private, but also close to the beach. Easy access. Comfortable bed, clean, lovely contemporary aesthetic.

A good location to the main areas of Hot Water Beach. A nice sunny outlook.

Looking tired, needs refreshing. Furnishings tired, shower curtain tired, walls tired in need of paint. Scarce in basic provisions, I’d have expected milk for tea and coffee. The back step of no 2 is rotting and uneven, the decking all the nails are lifting up. The television didn’t work, satellite connection needed repair apparently. We were able to watch Netflix.

Location was fabulous…..steps from the most beautiful beach!

Really great location for accessing Hot Water Beach. You can literally walk from the property directly on to the beach. No roads or sidewalks involved. There's even a shovel at the property so you can dig your personal hot tub on the beach during low tide.

We booked 4 months before our stay and immediately received email with very helpful check in instructions including the lock box code. I saved the email in a folder on my phone for the trip and even put a copy in a notebook in the cloud. When we got to the property we had 0 bars of service on our phones even though my wife and I had sims from two different carriers. My phone only keeps a couple of weeks of messages locally so I could no longer access the check-in instructions and of course couldn't reach the cloud. Fortunately the owner's neighbor rode by on his bike and called to get the code for us. Most properties sent us a "we're looking forward to seeing you in the next couple of days" reminder email so the information was on our phones. Highly suggest this change for Bure Wai given the limited cellular coverage. Parking is behind the unit and was very tight for our little car - wife had to get in/out before I pulled all the way into the spot. Not sure if the bushes can be trimmed back more. If not, be aware that if you come with a larger vehicle that you probably have to park somewhere other than the designated spot.
