"A quaint apartment on a pretty street in one of the best kept villages"

8.0

The apartment is located on a very pretty street in one of the best kept towns we have visited. Everyone was friendly. The apartment is a medieval house and has a lot of charm which could be considered cluttered.. The kitchen is well equipped.

You can't change this but travellers need to know that there are a lot of steep stairs and it would not suit some. From the street to the first level, the kitchen and living room, there are at least 10 steep stairs. There are another 10 to the first bedroom, bathroom level and more to the third bedroom level. The bathroom has 3 levels

"Cool Medical Town. Apartment too"

7.0

Location was great town was cool It had lots of steep stairs to the apt and inside the apartment. We didn’t mind but be aware its not accessible to anyone who might have difficulty with walking or stairs

Apt was not clean on our arrival, previous trash was not removed. Kitchen was disorganized, dishes silverware and cookware was scattered about the apartment and not sure we were supposed to use the antique dishes.

"The National parks and the whole feeling of the little town was an absolute joy"

10.0

The house is in the oldest part of Pacentro. You can hear the silence. There are no cars. There is parking nearby above the town so not a long walk to the house, but once you walk through the archway into the medieval quarter, which is most of the town, you are in another world of old Italy. Exploring it is fun! The old house is kept inside as it was post war. It is a home not an apartment. It is a lovely place to stay if you don’t want modern. It has everything you need. The views are over the wooded hills and there is a little balcony. There is a shop, a pharmacy and a main Piazza. Everyone greets you as you pass by and some like to stop and chat. It is a special place which you need to enter with a warm and open heart. Fabio was extremely helpful and good at being in touch.

I Due Gradoni is in the medieval quarter which means there is not a lot of light in the house. But for us this was more than compensated by the wonderful town and the surrounding National Park. The balcony and the upstairs window views are a joy! There are steep steps in the house which would be a problem for those with mobility issues. But you can’t have everything!

"Lovely Pacentro"

9.0

Bed was very comfortable. Loved the pathway walking to door. Go to square in morning for expresso or latte and at night. Loved seeing the families enjoying their evenings and the children playing.

The steps in front of the door are very steep. Once in steep steps to bedroom and bathroom.

We loved everything about the Stone House and the beautiful town of Pacentro. Fabio sent us lots of helpful information before and during our stay, and made sure the house was warm when we arrived. The house is decorated with care and love and we had everything we needed.

Pacentro is a gorgeous ancient mountain village, and the terrace house is right in the heart in a perfect location. The charming old world feel really makes you feel you have stepped back in time. We were delighted with everything about our stay, including outstanding self checkin instruction, from our host Fabio which included a map of the village highlighting points of interest. This was our favourite immersion experience in Italy. There is even a medieval castle just above the house. We spent hours just exploring the streets and lanes.

You need to be aware that there are steps to climb with luggage, but that is fairly obvious from the photos

Top location in the heart of this historic town for this period property where every feature is genuinely vintage but perfectly functioning. We loved the cozyness and peace and quiet!

Just a couple of notes: there are many steps and pretty steep so small children, or older people, need to take extra care.
