Seaside Cottage, Gili Air

Gorgeous cottage in a perfect spot!

The location is fantastic, it’s on the beach. We loved our stay, wished we could have stayed longer. And Jon the owner was very helpful. Communication of all information fantastic!! Thank you very much!!

Seaside Cottage is cosy, well set up and overlooking the northern beach, with hammocks, a fabulous verandah and a private beach area with sunbeds and a table under a shady tree. So many people look on “jealously” as they wander past. The beach is great for swimming at high tide ( around 6 am until 2 pm- check the tides chart). There are beautiful sunsets and a short walk provides views of the sunrise too. Jon is fabulous to deal with and is very responsive, informative and helpful and the staff who come and clean and tend the garden are lovely. We didn’t use the aircon at all as you can open up all the windows and there is a fridge and drinking water, and all the little things you may need including electronic insect repellant. A short walk to the northeast is turtle point and we snorkelled straight off the beach with turtles. Rinjani bar and food next door are very accomodating and will set up a tab and you can take snacks and drinks back to the cottage. They also have fabulous live bands and fire shows and generally wrap up by 20 pm- we loved it. There are plenty of restaurants and earrings plus a mini mart close by. I wouldn’t bother hiring a bike- the paths are mainly sand so most people who do are walking pushing the bike apart from through the centre of the island. I’d recommend ordering the breakfast the night before unless you’re happy to wait up to an hour if ordered in the morning. I recommend the fruit platter instead of a drink as the cottage has a kettle, tea and coffee etc. Jon has contacts in the booklet if you want to organise tours and discounted yoga sessions. I could have happily stayed forever and will definitely be back to this beautiful place with the loveliest of locals. 11/10.

Not a dislike- just a comment. A few times had to ask people to kindly move from the private beach area but didn’t mind when we didn’t want to use it- it’s one of the few spots with a shady tree.

Couldnt be a better location, right on the beach front and close to everything you need.

Very much a low-key experience, smallish room and average facilities. Beautiful though!

Wyspa przepiękna, widok z domku obłędny. Właściciel bardzo miły i pomocny.Domek położony jest w świetnej lokalizacji, wyposażony w leżaki, plaża 3 kroki od domku.

Domek potwornie brudny zwłaszcza łazienka, dosłownie można się przykleić, pełno pajęczyn. Ręczniki i pościel poplamione , śmierdzące i bardzo stare. Klimatyzacja praktycznie nie chłodzi Domek śmierdzi pleśnią Zdjęcia nie aktualne, zrobione zapewne kilka lat temu gdy domek był nowy.

Héél leuk huisje op een superleuke plek. Je kan hier volop genieten van het eilandleven. Je hebt een eigen strandje voor deur, met comfortabele ligstoelen. Zalig om van de zonsondergang te genieten. Het huisje is goed uitgerust. Er wordt dagelijks gepoetst, het ontbijt wordt gebracht en is erg lekker.

Eigenlijk niets. Je moet wel weten dat er naast de deur een levendige bar is met live muziek 's avonds. Maar dat vonden wij net fijn. Ze kwamen zelfs cocktails brengen tot op "ons" strandje. Het eindigt rond 22 u en dan is alles stil.

The best thing about this cottage is the location. It is positioned directly next to the beach. The owner gave us some sunbeds that we could put on the beach. The cottage is beautiful and it was a great stay

The cottage is surrounded by restaurants and during the day you can hear music playing all the time (not very loud). Also the apartment could have been cleaned a little better
