The Boat Playa del Carmen

Great location near the beach and a fairly quiet area. Supermarket and restaurants just nearby. Comfortable bed, amazing rooftop pool with nice views, and the convenience of underground parking.

The apartment is extremely small – the photos are misleading and make it look much bigger. The biggest issue was the loud fridge, which made it impossible to sleep, so we had to unplug it every night. The air conditioning was central and only worked occasionally. The apartment is on the ground floor, which wasn’t clear from the photos, and people constantly walked past the balcony – not very comfortable to sit outside. The reception staff was unhelpful; we didn’t have a key card or even know the apartment number (no one had provided it). The staff didn’t speak English, acted arrogantly, and didn’t have our reservation in the system. The check-in process was confusing and unpleasant.

The location is amazing, 3minutes walking from the most popular street (5th Avenue). 20/25 minutes walking from Coco Bongo. The space was ok, the apartment is tiny but you can have everything there. The swimming pool on the rooftop was a plus ! Also you have underground car parking.

You only have one small space to put your clothes.

All was fine.

The check in wasn't good, because we needed an apartment # and the owner's name which wasn't given to us. Once we got that everything was fine, and the place was very nice.
