The Lighthouse - Free Breakfast with Stunning Mountain & Sea Views

Staying with Brenda and Dougall was one of the highlights of our time in Christchurch. They are such warm, welcoming hosts—we had wonderful conversations, got fantastic recommendations, and truly felt at home. Their place is just a few minutes drive from the city center, yet surrounded by beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. The house itself is stylish, incredibly comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and it was such a great experience.

Sumptuous breakfast, friendly and knowledgeable hosts and great location with stunning views as a bonus. Even the neighbours were delightful and welcoming.

We enjoyed the welcome, talking with our hosts Brenda and Dougall, the stunning views from the place and the fantastic breakfast spread they put on for us. The Lighthouse’s facilities were second to none and it’s location afforded great opportunities to explore the surrounds.

It is not just the stunning views and the breakfast that speak for this accommodation. It is the hospitality of Brenda and Dougall. They welcome their guests into their beautifully furnished house (you will love the bathroom!) and do everything they can to make you feel at home.

Brenda and Dougall are wonderful hosts, fascinating people, and a joy to be with. One of Brenda's careers is teaching art - so we had the bounty of her artistic talent on the walls. The house is spotlessly clean, breakfast healthy and varied, and their view is sheer paradise.

Brenda and Dougall were the most gracious hosts! Their house had the most incredible views and the bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable. They served us a delicious breakfast each morning and had wonderful recommendations. Bonus that they welcomed us for our honeymoon vacation with a bottle of wine and chocolates. You will not go wrong staying at the Lighthouse. This place deserves a 10/10!!!
