Rinte Green Village & Bukit Lawang Jungle Trekking

Miejsce położone daleko od cywilizacji, sposób dotarcia już był fajną przygodą. Budynek ładny, przestronne pokoje. Można znaleźć tu wyciszenie. Bardzo mi się podobało najlepsze 2 dni z 14 w Bukit Lawang.

Brak menu, nie wiedziałem co mogę zjeść i w jakiej cenie, o wszystko musiałem się pytać. Było to niezręczne i trochę mnie ograniczało.

everything was nice. clean, staffs polite & helpful. near river, calm & ideal for people who need some peace from the city. we need to ride motorcycle with the staff (provide by the villa) about 10 minutes & walk around 20 minutes to reach the villa. worth it because of the view

Villa is located at a bend in the Landak River so you can take in the many features which make Rinte a special place. The food is prepared using ingredients grown on the property and is delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are happy to share their knowledge of the area.

La villa est située au coeur de la jungle, l'environnement est très clame et atypique, on se sent proche de la nature. Les hôtes sont charmants et très disponibles. On est accueillis dans cette famille comme si on en faisait partie. Les repas sont préparés grâce aux légumes et fruits du jardin. Nourriture locale, ambiance immersive et authentique. Nous avons beaucoup aimé être associés à un programme de réintroduction de la flore dans la jungle, avec la plantation d'un arbre chacun.

L'hébergement est très difficile d'accès (transport en mobylette de 15 minutes depuis le village, puis marche dans la rivière pendant 15 autres minutes). Une fois sur place, il est difficile de retourner au village en toute autonomie. Les repas ne sont pas compris dans le prix de l'hébergement, ce qui n'est pas annoncé. Il n'y a pas de possibilité de laundry ce que j'aurais préféré savoir avant.

Be ready to dive into adventure right from the moment you are met by host in the nearby village. A halfhour motorbike ride and a walk along riverbed and you are reaching a villa situated right in the midst of the jungle. If you are a nature lover like we are, don’t think twice - just book the place and enjoy the vacations. On other day we were guided by Byke and Fahid into the depths of jungle looking for orangutans, which were kindly enough to greet us from the trees on a stretched hand distance. All in all it was an excellent idea to book that place, don’t miss the opportunity to live amidst jungle comfortably.

Getting to this wonderful place is an adventure in itself. 15’ on a motor and a 20-30’ hike, but that will bring you to a home that settles itself in your heart (Don’t worry porters will be arranged for luggage and you will be guided – Connect on WhatsApp!). The family run hotel was constructed making use of the rocks from the river that curves around it and the wood from the jungle that surrounds it. You feel lost in nature. It has three upstairs rooms ideal for a family and a room downstairs. You’re family. The aunties cook local dishes (surprise menu – delicious banana-tree soup) and harvest from the garden. We planted a tree from the nursery. Cikita is a friendly host to help you. Baik is a senior guide with excellent English to help arrange trekking. The cook also gives a very professional massage. What can we say? Wifi and electricity may be spotty and there is no hamburger. But this place is so unique! Remote, so if you don’t want that, this is not for you. But if you look for a place to remember disconnected from everything. This is it.

Unfortunately, the booking said we had the whole villa but we did not. That caused some initial stress. This was kindly solved. Some things are a bit pricy like a surprise fee for coffee. But everything needs to be carried in. Unrelated to the hotel booking itself, but what everyone comes for in Bukit Lawang: The two day hike is rather touristy. Some guides do not have the right mindset for tourism. There are other options if you don’t want the 'oerangutan guarantee'. Ask Baik/Cikita about it.

An unforgettable experience in Bukit Lawang! The jungle trek was absolutely incredible. Surrounded by lush landscapes, the sounds of the rainforest, and the magical encounter with wild orangutans — everything was perfect. Our guide was passionate, caring, and deeply respectful of nature. He took the time to explain everything, which made the adventure even more meaningful. The trek was well organized, with nice breaks and even a delicious meal in the heart of the jungle. A truly authentic immersion in nature — I highly recommend it to all wildlife and adventure lovers
