This is a charming apartment just a short walk to the central piazza of Greve in Chianti. The space is very comfortable. we appreciated having a washing machine (we were given detergent for a single load; we would have appreciated an additional detergent packet). The owner of the apartment also owns the restaurant The Cantina nearby, and as guests of the vacation house we were given complimentary sparkling wine to start our meal and a dessert wine at the end of our meal. I would say it is necessary to have a car as part of this area’s charm is to explore other small Tuscan towns. We did a wonderful hike/walk from Greve that took us through vineyards, olive groves and forests. We visited a couple of local wineries (must call to book appointments), and enjoyed great Chianti Classico wines! We would definitely recommend this property and location.

Fully equipped and spacious

Great host and property in general. Very clean and easy to get in and out. We were met at the property with keys and put them on the desk when we left. We chose to stay in Greve in Chianti because it has several great enotecas yet is peaceful, plus we were able to visit the local enotecas and surrounding cities. San Gimignano and sienna are 30 minutes but a beautiful drive…lots of wineries to pop in and out of along the way. Parking was on the street for €4 a night. We thought the hot tub would be working, but it was December so it was off. The room comes with access to a beautiful backyard area that we didn’t use but it was lovely. Kitchen has generally everything but no microwave. Heater/AC worked well. The host owns the pizzeria practically next door and greeted us with a great bottle of his wine, and some appetizers. He was lovely and his restaurant was delicious—we ended up having breakfast and dinner there several nights. Our room was one flight up, no elevator. Overall, the host was very responsive and sweet. I would return if the mattresses were better.

All of the beds were hard and not very comfortable. After one night, I actually hurt my neck for the remainder of our trip. I ended up sitting up sleeping on the couch.

Everything was to like about this property! We would definitely recommend this property and be back if ever in this area again

beautiful place, in the center of the town. we had a great time! both Cristina and Alessandro ale super nice! Great place. unfortunately we didn’t manage to use the pool, it looked very lovely outside as well.

the mattresses could be more comfortable.
