Saffron On The Sea Resort

I went during the low-season, so I had the resort all to myself, which was fantastic to be able to relax an unwind. If you want a quiet vacation on an island, with everything still open and accessible, then I 100% recommend coming during the low season! As far as the weather; it would rain overnight and sometimes in the evenings and I just had one day with a big rain. Otherwise, the weather was great and the rains don't last long when they do come! I recommend to just go for a massage on a day that it is raining. - My room had the most impeccable view of the water, right from the bed. Same with the restaurant and bar which have unobstructed views of the water. - The area was also completely safe, tranquil, and I felt like I was in a luxury jungle. - The staff is so friendly, accommodating, and attentive; giving recommendations on how to get around, places to see, and advice for my first time in Thailand. The restaurant is fantastic and I ate most of my dinners and breakfasts at the resort. - I am not comfortable with scooters, but if you are comfortable then it would be nice to have one to visit the other towns up and down the island. More experienced scooter riders could go to Lonely Beach and Bang Bao Beach, but the hills are quite steep getting to those areas, so I would recommend it only if you are comfortable. Otherwise, the towns around Saffron on the Sea are easy to access with the scooter or by flagging down a taxi for just 50/100 Baht depending on where you want to go. - The supermarket is just a few minutes walk up the street which was convenient. There are some other restaurants and street-side food stalls in the vicinity of the resort; otherwise you can just catch a quick 5-10 minute taxi to the next town for more options. - Everyone on this island is super friendly, humble, and eager to give you the best experience. In 4 days / 5 nights, I only had positive experiences with everyone that I interacted with!

It was perfect for me, as a solo traveler and I can't find anything negative to say!

Early check in, English speaking friendly host and the room a few metres from the sea. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the view with evening cocktails amazing.

A smart tv would have been lovely for the rainy days.

The place is absolutely nice, cozy, perfect and quiet. Amazing food, vibe and the Hostess Ploy was so nice! Would really recommend and will love to come back ❤️

Cute hotel with a beautiful view, right on the water. There’s no beach for swimming, the coast here is very rocky but it’s stunning. Room was comfortable and clean. Only complaint is that the restaurant doesn’t open until 10:30 am which is really late and the coffee I had there was not great. If you’re an early riser, you might want to stay somewhere else.

Wonderful boutique hotel in a quiet beachfront location—perfect for relaxing and disconnecting. Just a short scooter ride from the other beaches, restaurants, and a supermarket. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel’s restaurant was excellent. Truly a great find!

Personally, I didn’t mind—but it’s worth noting that the beach right in front of the hotel is rocky and not ideal for swimming. That said, if you rent a scooter, you can reach sandy, lively beaches in just a few minutes.

Great location, in the middle of the island. The stuff is very warm, helpful and welcoming. They would try to do everything that we asked with a huge smile always.
