View and the service

The location was outstanding. Very close to the mount, shops, restaurants and beach. the apartmment was decorated beautifully and the kitchen was well equipped. Nice touches such as coffee pods, oils, salt, peper, and even washing powder for clothes was provided. The view was world class - can't beat it.

Unforunately the glass doors and glass balustrades on patio was thick with dried sea salt, which meant that when seated on the patio, the beautiful view was significantly clouded. We contacted the property manager to ask for it to be cleaned or for cleaning product so we could clean it. They delivered cleaning product, which was not really suited for the job. We did our best but a fairly streaky result was achieved. I could see based on the black that came off the cloth (on the inside surface) that it has not been cleaned in some time. The property manager said by text that it is "hard to keep them clean becuase of the sea spray" but I think for the price and premium feel for this property, they should be maintained to be clean. It really bought down the first impression of the place and our enjoyemnt of the view. I also don't think for a $160 cleaning fee we should be expected to sort and transport our rubbish and recycling that goes in the basement (there were different locations for glass, plastic and tin and added stress to our check out as we rushed to do it all in time). There are two air conditioning units - the master bedroom and the main living area. The airconditioning unit in the main bedroom made a loud noise every few mintues which actaully prevented me from sleeping so I had to sleep on the sofa in the lounge. Unforatuently they were unable to have it fixed while we were staying there, althgoth they did try to get a repair person there. It is unfortunate that this resulted in such a poor sleep, given the cost of this accommodation. The person sleeping in the second double room found it very hot as there is no air conditioning in that room and it is fairly small. The children in the thrid room slept well despite not having any air conditioning.

Well presented and comfortable place to stay. Great location with an amazing view. A short walk to the shops, just across the road from the beach and Mount Maunganui. Would definitely stay again.

Don't stay here! While the apartment is nice, the owners charged us for the a dishwasher that was not working already when we moved into the apartment.
