Peak A Boo Private Heated Pool and Private Parking

We stayed at the wonderful Peak A Boo at the start of April. Magnificent, spacious accommodation with amazing views day and night from every room. Very boujee and tastefully decorated accommodation which has everything that you might need. Extremely clean as well. Ana was a great host who was very friendly, helpful, and available to answer any questions . Heated pool was a bonus. As another reviewer said, Ana asked if we would be ok with some building works in the basement, and it was only for one day. She made it clear that we didn't have to agree to it. We agreed, and she offered us compensation for the inconvenience. We didn't have any issues at all - we didn't even see the builders or hear them. We are already planning to go back to Madeira, and we will definitely book this place again without any hesitation - worth every penny! Thank you, Ana, for making our stay so enjoyable!

Nothing! Wish we had booked it for longer

Peak a Boo is a fantastic, high end property with everything you need. We particularly enjoyed the views from the terrace and swimming in the heated pool. It is within walking distance of a couple of the local attractions and there are fabulous hikes right from the door.

At the time of our stay (last week of March), the owners were undertaking building works which we were not aware of before we arrived. They are building a gym in the basement of the villa, directly underneath the bedrooms and terrace. If we had been aware of this building work before our stay we would have cancelled. If you are out all day, you may feel this building work is not an issue but we wanted to enjoy the terrace and chose this more expensive property so that we could enjoy spending time there relaxing. The owners did ask us to let them know if the noise became an issue which we did after a few hours on the first day. The builders were being as quiet as they could but the banging and drilling directly underneath us was intrusive and spoilt our enjoyment of the terrace. The building work was stopped at this point for the day. The owners subsequently had to carry out some emergency plumbing work to their property next door which was not a problem as we were informed and there was only noise for a short time. We were offered compensation in the form of a meal out but we didn't feel this was necessary, we just wanted to enjoy the tranquil setting advertised. Building work continued, while we were there, later in the week, which we were surprised about after explaining that we weren't happy with the noise previously. In our view, building work should not be undertaken when you have guests staying, particularly, if you have not informed them prior to their arrival.

Sometimes you find accommodation that is better than the pictures, this is one of them!

Super Lage, super Haus mit Blick auf den Atlantik, super Gastgeber. Bei Problemen außerhalb der Unterkunft wurde uns sofort geholfen. Jederzeit zu empfehlen.

Tolle Aussicht, neu gebautes Ferienhaus, Küche wirklich gut ausgestattet, sehr freundliche Gastgeberfamilie, Pool gut temperiert, Räume groß, alles sehr sauber. Meckern ist hier wirklich nur auf einem sehr sehr hohen Niveau möglich. Würden wir wieder buchen.

Wenn man unbedingt was zu meckern suchen will, dann könnte es ein größere Glasauswahl geben und vielleicht noch eine Handtuchstange auf der Terrasse... alles eher Kleinigkeiten

Tout est parfait. La piscine est vraiment très agréable. La literie des chambres est parfaite. La cuisine est tres bien équipée. Ana est vraiment une très belle personne, très aimable et serviable. La villa est encore plus belle en vrai que sur les photos.
