VALLEY VIEW INN, Kotagiri

This was first and short time stay in 'Valley View Inn'. I didn't expect such a good place and people in this property. As the name of the guest house indicates, it was an amazing stay for us which is located in a beautiful and peaceful place. Breakfast & dinner both was very delicious. Nice and spacious rooms with free car parking area. First charms is the reception. Host Alok and his staff were very kind and responsible. Will never forget the moment we spent there.

Parking facilities has to be improved. They are keeing the gate locked. Upon calling them they are opening it.

Our stay at Valley View Inn in Kothagiri was nothing short of perfect. Nestled in a serene location with stunning views, it’s the kind of place that immediately makes you slow down, breathe deeply, and just enjoy the moment. Traveling with our dog Togo, we’re always a bit cautious — but this was hands down the most genuinely pet-friendly place we’ve ever stayed at. There were no extra charges for pets, and they even offered to prepare food specially for Togo, which was incredibly thoughtful and kind. He felt right at home — and so did I. The location is unbeatable, with peaceful surroundings and easy access to nature. One of the highlights of our trip was a visit to a hidden waterfall near Sundati — a short and scenic trek that led to a truly breathtaking spot. An unforgettable experience! A huge thank you to Alok, our wonderful host, whose warm and thoughtful communication made everything smooth and welcoming. And a special shoutout to Umar and Santosh, the amazing caretakers who were so attentive, caring, and friendly — their hospitality truly made this stay feel like we were visiting close friends or family. If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-filled escape with warm people and true pet-friendly comfort, Valley View Inn is a hidden gem. We’re already looking forward to coming back — and Togo is too!

Fantastic location. The staff were very decent and non intrusive. The cook makes whatever you preorder. It's tasty home cooked kind of food.

Nothing that o didn’t like

A beautiful new homestay perched on be side of a hill overlooking tea plantations. The views were to die for and I loved the balcony and fresh air. Alok could not have been more helpful with amazing communication in advance of my arrival and going above and beyond during my short stay joining me on treks and arranging taxis as needed. His staff were also wonderful - friendly, helpful and always so smiley - it really was a perfect couple of days.
