I need to first mention the exceptionally nice hosts of this B&B. Both ladies were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and really make you feel Scottish Hospitality at its best. And we thought this was only a Highlands thing! How wrong we were... The room was very nice and super clean, and the bathroom as well. Pretty modern too. Also, we need to mention the outstanding breakfast, which my girlfriend rated as the best she's had in all of Scotland! It's hard to argue with that, to be honest, we definitely left with a big smile. It's a very small B&B, but if you can, book this one. I can't do anything but highly recommend Hillcrest, and if we're ever in the neighbourhood again, this is the first place we're looking at.

The only "bad" thing I can possibly think of is nitpickingly small: breakfast is at exactly 8:30. It was fine for us, and I'm pretty sure the ladies could accomodate other requests, but if you need to leave earlier or like to sleep in, this might be a small inconvenience?

Bed was very uncomfortable. Not a good night's sleep. 8.30am to early for Sunday morning breakfast. Dog woke us up barking. Intentions were goid but never got left in peace to eat our breakfast.

Lovely place to stay, great advice for places to go, excellent breakfasts and attentive hosts, interesting conversations, very comfortable and clean.

Qwners were really nice people. We were welcomed upon arrival even though I had messed up the timing. Room was decent size, very clean, comfortable and had all the facilities we required. Breakfast was delicious. We were offered the use of garage to store bikes but just kept them locked on back of car, since there was a police station across the road.

Breakfast was superb, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely hosts, we will certainly look to return.
